I used to shy away from words I didn't like when I was writing. words like nasty, cruel, sweaty, gross. things that weren't happy and bright and clean. and then I started really reading every word in the books I liked so much, and realized that you can't write a masterpiece without putting some sweat into it. sometimes things are gonna get messy, and you can't really portray that using only words like rivulet and translucent.
I was thinking about writing a little bit. like, I should set aside some time each week to read, and some time to write. it might be cool. it might just help me out in this crazy 17-year old existence.
though I'm not sure how.

ReplyDeletewell, I kinda think that a blog is pretty much that, a little writing space to write in once a week (or day, depending on the writer) where you can express whatever you want . . . . or where you thinking of something else?
ReplyDeletehmm....maddeningly unhelpful.
ReplyDelete:)
lol, that would be cool. I should set time aside for writing too.
ReplyDeleteLol, I was saying maddeningly unhelpful because when I looked at the comments, only the first deleted one was showing. yours wasn't on yet Bo. your comment wasn't maddeninly unhelpful! sorry if that was confusing....
ReplyDeletebut good thoughts, I guess in some respects it is that way. I'm just kind of lazy with the way I write. I'd like to give poetry or fiction another shot, rather than just "this is my life isn't it interesting" kind of stuff.
though sometimes it's good to put that on too.
hmm, shying away from words i don't like? like ointment? and congeal? and obstretrician?
ReplyDeletewhat about words i do like? like doily? and shish kabob? and keen?
mutilated, dismembered, disfigured, decapitated, maimed . . . oh such yummy words.
ReplyDeleteMARSHMALLOWS!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeletewow, umm....well yeah decapitated is a good word. those others though - maybe you should get help Bo? lol jk. :)
