so, so, so. life is pretty good, all things considered. I mean seriously, I ought to be going crazy and I'm not. I was pretty stressed this morning, and it still comes on in spurts, but overall I'm doing ok.
school is just insane. this is probably the busiest I have ever been in my whole entire life, for a prolonged period of time. I still love my teachers, but going to class these last weeks of the quarter is just stressful. every teacher keeps reminding us of all these things that are due, and telling us we just have to give 110% for the next week and then everything will be great. which is true, but that doesn't make it any less insane.
so yeah. I'm headed to the library in a few minutes to try and finish up research for my research paper in English (which compares the forest in a Midsummer Night's Dream with Athens, and mirrors some of the characters.....interesting stuff). then I've got a history final presentation thingy to work on a little, and a massive final exam to study for. plus annotated bibliographies, proposals, and rough drafts for just about everything you can think of. I've just been writing assignments and due dates down all day so I don't forget.
my piano recital is a week from Saturday. I'm not particularly ready, but it's still getting better every day and the way it is right now most people wouldn't notice the mistakes. my teacher and I had a long talk today about just enjoying the experience, having fun and not being stressed or nervous about the experience. I might be able to do that, just a little bit. We'll see, I guess.
my mom is doing well. she's actually running some errands right now, all by herself! except for lifting anything over 10 pounds, there's very little she can't do. which is good for all of us. :)
having Mitchell here all the time is really nice. I'm actually not sick of him at all, which is cool because I suspected that might happen. he's at work all afternoon Monday through Wednesday, so that helps. my mom mentioned, and I agree, that he is just the easiest person ever to live with. he's pretty clean and organized, quiet, and fits in so well with our family. and he puts up with me even now when I'm so busy and have moments of insanity or meltdowns. so that's pretty cool too.
my BIG NEWS is that I got a job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
yes. I am very very very very very very excited! It's the job at Bath and Body Works that I wrote about several weeks ago. I had pretty much given up on it because it was three weeks since the interview and I hadn't heard anything, but on Friday they called and offered me the job! So, soon I'll have my orientation (still trying to set a date for that, since I couldn't do it on Sunday morning when they usually have it) and then hopefully I'll be starting around finals week - after all this craziness. I couldn't have asked for a better time either. I mean, there's no possible way that I could be working right now and keeping school and piano stuff together. it's such a blessing from God that I got this job at this time.
I guess that's about it. we're going camping this weekend and I'll probably post about that later. Mitchell and I are learning how to do airial flips and stuff to jazz up our swing dancing, and my mom wants to teach me how to do a backflip. (jumps and such are surprisingly easy for the girl, and not at all scary with someone like Mitchell holding you.)
oh yes the only other thing is that, if I'm not on blogs much, it's because my computer internet capability has died (that and I am insanely busy through next week). so yeah, my computer won't get online anywhere anyhow and nobody can figure out why..........hopefully we can fix it soon but so far, I'm just on my mom's computer for all internet stuff. and since she's kind of on her computer a lot, I don't get as much time with it. it's kind of good though, because it keeps me from getting distracted when I'm trying to do homework. :)
hey hon,
ReplyDeleteI totally fail at visiting blogs, but I'm gonna make a point too again.
I'm so excited for you about your job!!!! That's awesome!!!!
And I am surprised about Mitchell, a bit... but I can see how that will be awesome to have a basically adopted brother like that.
Although I do wonder how we shall pull off sleepovers, in the future. Exile him? lol.
YAY! Congrats on the job!! That's awesome. And...aside from that I am so completely brain dead for typing you a comment cause I got back not all too long ago from a 3 hour band practice and am pretty bushed :P heh oh well! But I thought since I read it, it'd be nice to say something :)
ReplyDeleteSo hi. And I'm glad life is going well, even if it is crazy busy <3
hahaha, thanks you guys. :) And yes Beth, I think we'll have to exile him or something like that. Or just make him stay upstairs indefinitely. ;)
ReplyDeleteOh I know how that goes Sarah. When I'm on worship we practice for about 3 1/2 hours and then have church on Saturday night as well. Then we go out for dinner at a pizza place and stay out really late, and have to be back at church at 7:45 the next morning for two more services. So much fun, but it's exhausting....
yeah, like I said, it's calming down. today I actually feel like I can take a few minutes just to do whatever and not be worried that I won't get everything done. It's nice - school is ALMOST OVER!!!
Haha yup, pretty much. Except here we didn't go out for pizza...but my friends Karen, Myranda, and I ran to the store next door and Karen bought everybody a buncha candy cause she'd just gotten her paycheck that day :-) Ah, good times. And another hour 'n a half tonight! And right after that we're doing a little mini concert with this other youth band. It'll be cool :)
ReplyDeletesooooo close to the end dear!! Hang in there!! <3
ReplyDeleteI agree with all the positive points that others made above, just to be a little quicker to point. Also, your "Melloni Nin" box on the side has a few issues. :D
ReplyDeleteEtc,
Jacob.
P.S. You're still amazing, don't worry. I'm being lazy. *rolls eyes*
hahaha thank Jake. :P I haven't done a thing with my blog (except post on it) is soooooo long. Maybe I'll do something with it when school gets out. that would be fun.
