  1. so I've discovered something since posting this that's almost as great as Andy Serkis playing Screwtape.

Tim Burton is doing Alice in Wonderland. non-animated Alice in Wonderland, with Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter - no joke. =)
but it gets better. Alan Rickman is the Caterpillar, and Christopher Lee is the Jabberwocky!!!

for anyone who cares, Stephen Fry (aka the Jeeves of my dad's license plate frame) is the Cheshire Cat, Timothy Spall is cast as 'The Bloodhound', and Danny Elfman is doing the music.

and I watched the trailer, just for kicks (because normally I really really hate Tim Burton stuff, but the cast is so incredible I thought it was worth a shot). It actually looks quite good. seriously. I think Tim Burton has found his spot. go for stuff that's already weird, and just make it look GOOD. so anyway, you should all go to imdb and watch the teaser trailer for it. it doesn't come out until next year sometime....
but anyway it looks cool. I think it might actually turn out to be a good movie. :)

  2. Aha sweetness!! I'm going to have to see if I can find this somewhere. I've heard those books were great but I've never had a chance as of yet to read them.

...random question, have you ever heard their other drama, "Adventures in Odyssey" (any of you? I know some of you have...)

  3. lol of course! I used to listen like ALL THE TIME. not so much these days, but I still listen to the new ones when they come out....though it takes forever to get them from the library.

the old ones are the best though. I'm really old school when it comes to adventures in odyssey. :P

  5. yeah same here. I think my all time favorite ones that I recall were "The Champ Of Camp" (where Connie & Eugene were kids at summer camp), "Hidden in My Heart" (the one that has a Star Trek spoof in it), and then I like almost any of them that involve Dr.Blakkard just cause most of them are extremely suspenseful and action packed =]

Hey, you don't always have to get them from the library...if you go to their website you can listen to any episode that has played within like the last month or two for free. You can also buy episodes on itunes, I've heard.

  6. TIM BURTON IS AMAZING. Just thought I would point that out. You know he did Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, right? And James and the Giant Peach, and other animation movies. He makes creepiness turn into AWESOME.

Ahem. Wow. I am so excited to see Alice in Wonderland. Hey! I'm going to youtube the original!

  7. haha ok, Tim Burton is OKAY. I liked James and the Giant Peach. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was...ok. I don't know, Tim Burton is just so - weird. I don't like how he does eyeballs. and his blood always looks fake, like a bad 80's horror movie.

that being said though, I still think Alice in Wonderland might be good. I want to go see it.

and I don't pay theater prices to go see many things. :P
