so, I don't really have anything to say. I just thought I really ought to put a new post up.
I should go to bed now. but I think I'll finish Enchanted first. to be quite honest, I think the first half hour of it is kind of, well, boring. I'm hoping it gets better. because everyone I know loves it and I want so badly to love it too. but.....well I'm just hoping it gets better.
this fair job is pretty much the worst job I've ever had. I'm cleaning the bathrooms. and making minimum wage. and my back is killing me. most of my supervisors are never around, and the only one who is around is a rather unpleasant person who swears and smokes a lot, and is generally very impatient.
which is funny because I have a good friend who's like that but I love him. but this is just different. it's like he's always mad at us for something, when we're doing our job.
and I rather object to being yelled at - "FAIR STAFF!!!! FAIR STAFF!!!!!!!!!!" my other supervisors are making an effort to learn my name at least.
but anyway, it'll all be alright. I absolutely love being at the fair. I get done at 2:30, hang out at the church with my friends, come back and hang out with 4-H people, and then have the evening to myself....watching movies on my laptop, catching the hypnotist show, having a midnight snack or a midnight shower. it's pretty fantastic.
and it's only for three more days. then I'm on vacation. and I get a very large check from it all. just something else to add to my list of experiences, I suppose.
ha, so today I randomly decided to take the judging and knowledge tests that the 4-H people take, just for kicks. and I totally beat all the other scores too! which is funny because I haven't been in it for a whole year so I forgot a lot. but they wouldn't let me have the trophies because I'm not technically enrolled or legally participating in fair.
but I thought it would be fun to try. :P
hmmm....it's funny how much I can say when I start with, "so, I don't really have anything to say." ah well, long-winded me.
just a few more weeks until Camp Hope!!!!!!!!! *jumps up and down and dances at the same time*
I know, skills.
Hey, we did jumping jacks and turn around at the same time!
ReplyDeleteHaha saying a lot when you say there isn't much to say...you sound like me Kacy!

ReplyDeletehaha, well one of my supervisors today bought me and my friend Mollie root beer floats because we were working so hard moving stuff around in the 90+ heat. so that was pretty sweet....he's an awesome guy.
ReplyDeleteah....long day, saw good friends, cold shower, hot shower, and dinner. think I'll watch a movie and go to bed. =)
hypnotism . . . *shivers*
ReplyDeleteI've never actually seen any of those shows at the fair . . . although I've heard about them. Sounds SO creepy.
Tom Bombadill! Elaina just passed that part of the books last week. I'd forgotten all about him- and about most everything else from the books, too. Shamefull, I know.
ReplyDeleteWow sounds like tons of fun . . I want to work at a fair . ..
ReplyDeleteno Katie, trust me, you don't. you really don't.
ReplyDeletewell sorry I'm not on much lately guys. there's no internet at the condo...we just snuck over to my grandparents' for a little bit to use theirs, check email and stuff. but I gotta get going. so yes, don't expect to hear from me really until we get back. :(
it is nice though, not having the technology. basically the only things we've been doing (or plan to do) at all are: reading a ton, swimming, doing puzzles, eating junk food, watching movies, and sleeping plenty. and playing my keyboard.
it's AMAZING! :P
camp hope 6 days!!!!
Camp Hope 3 days!!!!
ReplyDelete3 days? where do you get three days? I count 4......
ReplyDeletebut of course I am on vacation and can't really keep track very effectively right now. that may be the problem.
