are you watching closely?

Would you know a miracle if you saw one?

A child brings us together

Is that miracle enough?

Have we used the word so thoughtlessly

for so long now

That we've made it small

and we've made it safe

and bled the meaning out?

Or is the universe so magical

that every breath we take

is a blessed surprise?

  1. Hmmm that is a very interesting thought to ponder. The word miracle seems to be used so loosely sometimes anymore.

Then it always brings back to mind the miracle that happened for us that one time way back when... such a strange happening it was, too.

  2. So pretty! :-)

Poetry completely confuses me, to be honest- the attempt to make statements about the nature of certain things using words arranged in a nice-sounding way. It seems to have no objective to me. I guess I'm more into communication than words themselves.

But it does make you think, sometimes to the point of exaustion. Poetry almost never answers the questions it raises, does it?

Haha, too much coffee makes me philosophical.

  3. Hahaha, you make me laugh mnm. but I would agree with you. I used to be really good at writing poetry, but somewhere along the way I just couldn't do it anymore.

oh and, just to clarify, I didn't write this. I just wanted to put it on here. :)
