I am now rejoining the land of the employed. I have my first piano student!!!!
*bounces up and down*
my neighbor is super-duper excited to take lessons from me. and she's already past the primer version so she knows a little bit of theory and stuff - same curriculum I want to use for teaching. she has a keyboard and practices every morning before school.
so I am starting a job I love with an excited student (thank God for this one, He is amazing), and on top of that I will have an income again!!!!
and she's going to try and convince a friend to take lessons too.
I love my life. :D
well, i'm glad you love your life, and i'm glad i'm the first one to comment, and not the 20th or something. yay me!
ReplyDeletewatch this, all comments will stop after this comment post. it's my secret power! lol.
Haha, sorry to ruin your secret power Jacob, but I'm here. : )
ReplyDeleteThat is so exciting Kacy!! I can only imagine what it would be like to be able to teach dance to someone, that would be pretty cool.
WOW how much fun. *sigh* I can't get a job till I am sixteen . . .
ReplyDeletei think you probably need another secret power, jacob.
ReplyDeletemaybe.....the power not to be called jake?
oops, i was supposed to call you today kacy. but i'm in greek class. oh well, i'll probably pester you while you're at golf. it's revenge for calling me during the first moments of phantom (my phone just buzzed, but i think i got a few glares) and leaving me wondering who on earth called me the whole first act.
so there.
lol! oh well. it was fun while it lasted.
ReplyDelete*sheepish look* oops. but really, I can't keep complete track of your life AND mine now, can I? but I am jealous - everyone is going before me!!!!!
ReplyDeleteand I won't have my phone on during golf. or I'll get in BIG trouble. you COULD leave a message though. I know, foreign concept. or I could call you tonight I suppose.
aren't you proud of me for remembering Joshua Roman and cello and you all together?
all these comments make me happy!!! although today I started freaking out because I have no idea what I'm going to do with my student on Wednesday. I really don't have a clue how to teach, which should make the first few lessons interesting...
you should totally teach dance Beth! you would be really good at it I'm sure. and don't worry about jobs quite yet Katie, just enjoy having some free time and not needing a job. ;)
WHAT SHE SAID!
ReplyDeletedon't get a job while your parents still give you an allowance! is soooooo much beter . . . .
yes. josh roman + cello + seattle symphony + anna is pretty much amazing.
ReplyDeletei have never had an allowance. so jobs are important. extremely important. especially when you need to go to phantom.
allowance? what's that?
ReplyDeletehaven't had one since I was eight. my parents figure if they don't get paid regularly then I shouldn't get money just because. they have a point, too.....darn it.
but today my check came from the stuff I entered in the fair (back in July)!!! I could certainly use the eighty bucks.
and apparently I babysit. our neighbors from the next cul-de-sac just came over with a very busy/curious/not-at-all-shy 1 1/2 and 3 1/2 year old for me to have charge of occasionally.
well I won't say no to that money either.
but I'm really looking forward to the piano income. it's nice to feel like you're earning money doing something you enjoy. more like you actually deserve it, I guess.
I always feel semi-guilty taking money for something I really hated doing.
man I haven't done any babysitting in probably over a year.....*nervous grin*
man verya, you like, put up blog posts in the comment area . . . . . thats so cool . . . . . . .
ReplyDeleteand yes, allowances is mostly a forign concept but i thought i would throw it in there because some of my friends live off them. lol.
definition cul-de-sac: a street, lane, etc., closed at one end; blind alley; dead-end street.
ReplyDeleteinteresint . . . . . .
ReplyDeleteyou like my inconpleted word?
ReplyDeletedang.
interesting . . . . .
Yeah and I know how to spell it too, so there Lego!
ReplyDeleteI just realized how long it's been since anybody called you that. because it's really hard to get a good abbreviation for Quenta Tindomerel.
HAHAHA! i got it! the perfect nickname for quenta tindomerel!
ReplyDeletefirst, take the first letter of each name.
Q and T
now put them together . . . .

say it quickly! LOL! thats funny . . . .
but yeah, lego, elf, quents, anything works . . . lol.
jacob, you know how much that annoys me?
ReplyDeletei think you do. that's why you said it.
