I ain't got a dime, but what I've got is mine/I ain't rich, but Lord I'm free/amarillo by morning, amarillo where I'll be

yesterday this kid was sitting picking his guitar in the courtyard area at school during my free hour, and then he started singing amarillo by morning, by george strait. and wow, he had an amazing voice. it was just really soothing - he had great dynamics, and it was a quiet, simple song. between the song and the guitar and his voice the whole 3 1/2 minutes was just peace.

I haven't seen many people I know at school since the beginning of last week. today from music theory to math I was walking along, looking at every face going the other direction, hoping to find one I knew. then who should I run into (once again, just when I'm looking for someone I know) but Jacob C. in a white sox hat. so we talked for a few minutes and then had to go to our classes.
so I walk along feeling rather happy that I saw a friend (esp right before math, blech), and then my hear a "HEY!" that seems to be directed at me. so I turn around and my friend Joe from youth group is standing there with the big grin characteristic of both him and his brother. so we talked a for a few more minutes.

but I still wasn't late to class. actually today our teacher was late. and I'm not failing math, so far as I know, though all we've had so far is one homework assignment from last week. I'm doing well in music...though that class is easy enough. and I did very well on my first history test, and on the homework. so today, life is good.

then my dad picked me up and gave me a ride home, and left some fried rice he had made at home for my lunch. which was good because I was starving and not looking forward to trying to find food when I got home.

and to make everything absolutely wonderful, all I have today is team photos for golf - no practice. YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this is a very good thing. especially considering how hot it was yesterday and is "supposed" to get today. I like how people always say it's "supposed" to be nice or "supposed" to rain, as if it's the weather's fault if it doesn't do what the weathermen said it would.

so.....I still have homework though. how are all you guys doing? haven't heard from you in awhile...

  3. see, this is point where i

    a) go searching for the email

    b) be lazy and ask you for it.

    guess which one i choose?

    B! yay for me!

ok. but when you say "haven't heard from you in awhile..." it kinda made me like . . . what? but nevermind.

and why the comment about "boys"? i swear, the number of things girls do far out number the crazy things boy's do.

    am i ranting? oh dang.

  4. sorry jacob, but I'm quite sure you're going to get out-voted in this one. consider the ratio of girls to boys on blogger.....

no, I just meant that it seems like some people aren't on very much nowadays, or I just haven't talked to them. so I'm just asking...what's up?

  5. actually, sometimes i'd be on jacob's side. the number of bizarre things that girls do far outrank the guys but i think that must be because i expect guys to be bizarre most of the time and girls not to be bizarre.

and you just talked to me two days ago, miss verya. granted i was asleep and it was only for like ten minutes, but STILL.
and i was supposed to call you yesterday. bad anna. i had crazy homework though.
not that i ever don't, but.....
i actually DID a bunch of homework last night, i felt very accomplished. it was incredible.
except i still have about as much tonight.....*sigh*

  6. I know...I missed you but figured you must be busy like usual. maybe call me tonight if you get a chance? I have a lesson from 7:30-8:00 but I'll be home all evening besides that.

I don't know, not ever having had brothers or sisters, I would say guys do weirder things. like yesterday, the guys on the golf team were all laying down on their backs in the grass throwing a water bottle up in the air to see if it would land on them or not.
and they seemed surprised when it did.

also yesterday, we saw three guys on the other boys' golf team golfin without their shirts on.

    I rest my case.

  7. sorry, guys take their shirts off all the time. try running crosscountry dear. =o

and have you ever heard of russian roulette? that is how crazy guys can be. i guess zak being on the extreme end of bizarreness has kind of conditioned me to it. you know, he's just.......zak. and i love him for his weirdness. =)

  8. no way! i pounded a bunch of homework today too! wow . . . oh well. i'll procrastinate later . . . waaaiiiittt . . . .

  9. no, it's not that they took their shirts off. it's that they did it on a GOLF COURSE as members of the team. you just don't do that. they probably got in big trouble. cross-country is one thing, but a golf course....

their dress code is polos tucked in.

yeah, both of your brothers have made you somewhat immune.
