summer days/drifting away.....

Summer!!!!!!!!!!!! It's here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
seriously. I know it's not officially summer yet (Saturday!), but I finished school today, and tomorrow and the rest of summer I get to stay up as late as I want and sleep in as long as I want. I always knew that it's not what I do during the day, but when I get to do it that matters. I've got a ton of 4-H stuff still to get ready before Fair, but even that doesn't make me depressed because I can sleep till ten and stay up past midnight doing it. and that's my happy time.

and I have lots of Hindi but if I do it late at night when I'm awake it's so much better.

*sigh* life is good.

and my dad just got home. so I have to go. I need to do chores and call five people and make zucchini bread and.....I know there was something else dang it.

sorry. didn't sleep well last night. dum de do de do........

this summer Lauren and I are going to Portland. by ourselves. yeah, seriously. we're staying with my aunt and uncle, and going to the church I went to India through, and meeting with Mike, and going tax-free shopping, and hopefully dinner with my cousins, and going to Powell's!!!!!!!!!!!!! all in one weekend. that's next month, the 11th-13th. I am SO excited!!!!

  1. Sounds like a nice kickstart to the summer time! I wouldnt say summer has officially started in my mind yet though... I'm still on spring. I guess it's because we've not had a 95-degree day here yet and I still havent made my first trip of the year to the local water park. Oh well. Somehow I'm just not in a summery mood until I've gone swimming! lol. Of course the fact that I'm still doing school is kind of holding my mind back a season as well :-P

  2. ewwww....yuck. school. *makes face*

yeah, it doesn't usually get to 95 over here until late July/August. but I am going to Coeur d'Alene for 4th of July so it'll probably be really hot there. good thing my aunt lives on a lake.....

at youth group tonight we had a kick-off-summer party which was really awesome. we played music outside for a long time and just made stuff up, and there was watermelon (among other teenager party-type food), and cool people. just hanging out. I like it when we have parties that aren't totally organized like for little kids. and no parents. :)

    ok jk.

but it was really fun. and I'm getting my ears pierced tomorrow!!!!!

  4. I know someone who does that. It must really suck a lot. but then again, they take long random 2-3 week breaks when they feel like it or go on vacation, so I guess it's not so bad.

but I couldn't imagine doing school right now. there's nothing I love so much as summer - especially in Seattle and in my own backyard in the nature!

  5. Lol, it's not too horrible. At least I get August off...and this week, and the week of camp. And Fridays.

The main thing that annoys me is that I have to be working on school projects during my week off >:-( mom says if I don't get at least 3 done I can't do internet until all my school's done... of course I guess it's my own fault for procrastinating so darn much.
