I am sure all of heaven's heard me cry
As I tell You all the reasons why
This life is just too hard
But day by day
Without fail
I'm finding everything I need
And everything that You are
To me

Every time I breathe You seem a little bit closer
I never want to leave I want to stay in Your warm embrace
Oh basking in the glory shining from Your face
And every time I get another glimpse of Your heart
I realize it's true
That You are so marvelous God
And I am so in love with You

Now how could I after knowing One so great
Respond to You in any way
That's less than all I have to give?
But by Your grace I want to love You not with what
I say,
But everyday
In a way that my life is lived

Every time I breathe You seem a little bit closer
I never want to leave I want to stay in Your warm embrace
Oh basking in the glory shining from Your face
And every time I get another glimpse of Your heart
I realize it's true
That You are so marvelous God
And I am so in love with You

Wrapped in Your mercy I want to live and never leave
I am held by how humble
Yet overwhelmed by Your majesty
Captured by grace and now I'm finding
I am free
You are marvelous God,
And knowing You is everything !

I <3 THIS SONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm feeling very bloggerish lately. and i just made up a new word! So today we're "staging" the house. that basically means moving everything in one room to the other one so it looks better for pictures, haha. then you move it all back again. and dad's pressure-washing the house to make it look clean outside too. and I'm getting stuff ready for fair.

i signed up to possibly do a decorated cake this year. you don't use a real cake, you use a cardboard box, and you're judged on how you decorate it.

problem: I've never decorated a cake before.

at least not successfully. i've frosted cakes, but never extravagently or anything like that. however, my aunt decorates cakes sometimes, so i guess I'll enlist her services. the theme is Dance to the Moo-sic, so i'm trying to think up stuff for that.....and i'm always coming up with music notes and dancing cows.

that's just maddeningly unhelpful.

ah well....we'll see how it turns out. i still think i'd like to do it...just have to give it a little more thought.

  1. wow. today was such a bad day to be in a bloggerish mood. nobody on ALL DAY?!?!?!?

what's up with that? not a single person out of all of us (except me talking to myself...), no e-mails, no posts, no comments...

so much for national post-random-comments-on-everyone's-blogs day.

SO, since I'm sure you all were doing splendiferously fun things that were WAY better than blogging or e-mailing, you are all required to say what were the things that kept you from enjoying the sweet felicity of this day, and from my own soliloquizing (since Lego wasn't around to do it).

  2. lol! We have family in from New Jersey. So we're out and about with them pretty much all day every day, which is exciting.

We went on a hike. It felt so good to make it to the top.
    We played castle. *no comment*
We went to the park and pushed little kids on the marigoround for EVER. That really was fun.

I'm sure you can decorate a cake Verya. I say this not because I can, or because I think it's easy, but because I think you're generally better at these thigns than I am. :-) A cardbord box sounds WAY easier to frost than a cake, too. you don't have to worry about crumbs.

  3. I went garage-saleing, got a fistful of LOTR trading cards for a quarter (yipppy! I'm a nerd!) and a Loreena Mckennitt CD for $1, a homemade medieval dress for $1, and two skeins of yarn for scarves next year for 50 cents.
oh, and a real jeweler's wire jig and an embroidery hoop. and Herodutus.

and then I spent the afternoon being lazy and reading one of my three trillion summer reading books (they're already piling up!).

and then I went to a play. Skin of Our Teeth, by Thornton Wilder. with a baby dinosaur and a mammoth and cool stuff like that in it.
    it was AWESOME.

    i knew i loved you for a reason!!!!!!!!!!! i love garage-sailing!!!!!!!!!!!!

that's it. we're going sometime. if my mother ever lets me go again...last time was about two years ago with a friend and i bought a lot of *coughsjunkcoughs* er, i mean, treasures that she didn't quite see the value in...

but i'm much wiser now. i just have to make her see that. let me think...

sounds like you really scored though!

  6. no. it's the same way you never like thrift-storing. you justnever find the right thing.
you just have to go with me. like we found this gigantic garage sale where this lady was just selling off mounds of awesome stuff for next to nothing.

haha, I know the feeling Kacy. but I never buy junk. of course not. *looks innocent*
yes we should go garagesaleing together. that would be awesome.

  7. Yes, same for me as for Emily, we have family out. Except for castle, I agree with Emily. It was so much fun!!! (Emily backed out on the game before it got fun the first time, and the second time wasn't as fun.) The first time I was queen, and I was discovering all these plots against me, and letters, and then Elizabeth was my loyal maid, but she was actually against me the entire time!!!!! It was so frustrating, I am not very happy with her. : )

  8. *sigh*

you're definantly queen next time, beth, you're much better at it than i am.

i think i just don't like wearing other people's old clothes, i don't feel pretty in them. and you know how it doesn't matter how drop-dead-georgous you might look, if you don't FEEL pretty it doesn't count? that's why i don't like thrift stores or garage sales.

  9. Haha, it's ok you guys. actually, not that many people I know like garage-saleing. it must be something in personality, but i know nothing about that, so never mind. lol, i'm still going to tell you ALL about all of my treasures when i get them!
