Forever forever

I'm feeling much better than I was earlier! I just got back from Jazz Alley where I went with my grandparents, and we saw Keiko Matsui. Oh my gosh it was incredible!!!
To start off with, the percussionist must have had a bazillion instruments without names. It was really really cool. He was on fire. Then there was a really good bassist, a guitarist, a drummer, and a saxaphonist/clarinetist (or something else long and metal). And then there was Keiko. I can't describe her in words. But I have I feeling I'm going to try anyway.
She was just so energetic, so into her music. She could play the same notes and still make it intense, energetic, happy, or whatever she wanted it to be. And when she smiled, you could so tell that it wasn't a stage smile - she really loved what she was doing.
Keiko Matsui is an elegant, beautiful Japanese pianist who possessed the beautiful magic of turning the whole room into a spellbound audience just waiting for her next transformation. She made everyone feel comfortable, and was a great pianist too. This is the first show I've been to with a pianist where I could watch and enjoy the music while figuring out the chords and stuff in my head. That was a lot of fun, and it made me feel really good.
Ok, so we got there, and there's a keyboard front and center, a keytar next to it, and a Yamaha grand stage left. We asked the person seating us if we could sit closer on the side of the piano, and ended up geting seats literally touching the stage, with an awesome side view of the piano!!! That was super exciting. We also ate dinner there...I had lamb shank...really good. Then dessert...
We won't go into that.
;) lol

I finished 2 Corinthians this week and now I'm in Galatians. That's a really cool book. And my HyperStatic Union CD is so uplifting. And because my grandparents aren't really into my music, I have a CD player in my room here, so that's been nice.
I'm gonna be here like all day tomorrow. Except for a lunch date. But my parents have a meeting in the afternoon so I'll be here. I'd love to hear from you guys, and I'll probably be doing plenty of e-mailing myself. And blogging for that matter.
How's Latin coming Lego? Chemistry's ok. We got to blow things up on Friday!!! Ok, not really...it was, well, vinegar and baking soda in a 2-liter bottle...but that's beside the point! It was fun. And the teacher wasn't there and the T.A. was sick so the other boy and I were in the foyer with all the adults. And he explained the mole-concept to me so I actually understood it.
I'm forgetting Chem this weekend. I don't need to worry about it right now. And I think it's just a half module this week anyway, so...I'm just saying I'm not worrying about it. :)
But You heard my cry/even though I lived a lie/knew that I would be Your servant/till the day that I died.
So, how are you Vani; how's chem?
What's up Beth? Haven't heard from you in awhile.
Em, how's the duplicitus/dragon coming?
Anna...is Latin off-limits? Just kidding I'm praying for you kiddo.
We might make black cookies tomorrow!!! Those are really good no-bake drop cookies. With great stuff in them. Hmmm...maybe I'll post the recipe.
Oh yeah, we finally got to pick out our pictures of the cats and me that we took a week ago! I'll post some of them later...I don't have them right now.
Top Gun's on right now. I'm trying not to watch much because it's in the other room and I'm afraid I'll look up at the time that I'm not supposed to be watching. I guess I should be typing instead, huh?
Well, I just realized that there's not really any more to type about. So I think I'll go do some more work on Rintore. (sorry, I don't have an e with a grave accent right now. obviously. I'll have to figure out how to do that...)
I've noticed that I do the dot-dot-dots a lot more when I'm indecisive. Or confused or whatever.
All my troubles seem so far away!!!! lalalalala!!!
lalas for you Legolas, mellon nin.
you are all meloni nin.
A lot.
Ok, I'll just go shut up now and blast HyperStatic Union and work on Rintore and read Galatians 3.
Namarie!

  2. Did you get my e-mail Lego?....
You're right, those actions don't go well together. ;)
Great job on your Latin!!! I'm so happy for you!!!
It wasn't really a concert. I mean, it was, but there weren't lyrics or anything. It was like a classical music concert, but jazz instead of classical.
Actually a little of both. It was really cool.
Why haven't you ever been to a concert?

  3. no email! none! no emails for poor little Lego. :( when did you send it?
cause my parents don't like concerts. they're not much a fan of my rock music, and they defintely won't let me go to their concerts.
I guess I have been to a Paperboys concert....but that was because they were performing at the 4th of July fireworks and that was the first time I've ever heard them.
    so it doesn't really count.
