First Post

Okay...so this is my first post, and I won't bore you with all the stuff they all say about this being "so cool and all that" but I am really excited to finally have a blog!!!

Yes I'm soooo happy! I have emailed anna a few times but I need to give her my blog address still. I'll do that later.

Well, it was Place of Friends, but I just changed it because I liked the Qunya sound more. Now it's Place of Meeting. Thought that was approprite!

About Me

Hi there, and welcome! I go by Dorothy, which isn't my real name at all, but it's fitting because I live in a place commonly known as the Emerald City: Seattle. Yes, it rains often, but we actually get less rainfall than most U.S. cities. When the sun does come out in our beautiful summers, everyone is in a good mood. I like to say that we don't take sunshine for granted.

I am an amateur cook with a passion for good food lovingly prepared. Someday I would love to take cooking classes, but for now I use my imagination, take recipes as suggestions, and learn by trial and error. Currently I'm at a tiny college in Minnesota, writing about food but not cooking much. Soon, however, I'll be back in the Emerald City, ready for a little kitchen magic.
