It snowed!!! Last night, like over 3 inches!!!!!!!
And of course I couldn't play in it 'cause I was sick. And then it started "almost raining." You know - it's kinda snow but getting warmer so kinda rain. And I said it would snow again and it did for like 5 minutes, and then it didn't do anything and it's still here only it's frozen over so it's more ice now than snow but it looks really pretty and I ate a lot of it and it helped my throat (which still doesn't feel much better but it did then) and it's so pretty now with the moon shining onto it!
Did anyone else get any snow? I guess it mostly hit here, but I haven't been anywhere in the last two days, so I don't know what the rest of the world looks like.
I'm officially in love with my MP3 player!
Oh Lego - there was a category on Jeopardy tonight (I don't know if you saw it or not but...) it was "Characters in Dante's Inferno." I knew you were reading (or had read) that but seeing that I hadn't I didn't think I'd get any of them, but I think I got two or three. I didn't know it was so much Greek/Roman history, which I'm sort of getting into, and we studied it two years ago for like a month, so it was kind of cool.
Our house is undecorated. It's sad. :'(
Well, I guess that's about it. Merry (two days after) Christmas to all, and to all a good night!

16 days.
Officially. I haven't posted in 16 days.
Well, I'll try and put a lot in this post. I don't have any excuse not to because:
it's the day after christmas and everyone's home and doing nothing.
i'm sick and have nothing to do anyway.
yep. Just a sore throat, but it's really crummy. I'm having fun though, messing around with my new MP3 player!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the first thing like this I've ever had, and I think I've pretty much got it down. I guess Mom suggested it to my grandma for Christmas (because I was always commondeering her portable CD player this summer when I was weeding at my neighbors). So Grandma got it for me! Then we set it all up at their house (where we were for Christmas) and we were looking online to see where the best deals were for downloading songs (if you're looking anyone http://musicdownloads.walmart.com is great - just $.88 per song and like $9 per CD) and my grandpa's like 'pick 10 songs and I'll buy them for you!' That was really cool. And I got my dad BarlowGirl's first CD, so of course I had to put that on too.
Ok, I'm rambling...How was everyone elses' Christmas? What did you do? What did you get? What are you doing today?
The other things worth great mention here that I hope to talk about without boring you stiff - mom got me a Middle Earth map that's a tapestry...and it's so beautiful! I don't know if any of you knew this, but I collect foreign coins, and also spoons from around the country and around the world. Dad found something that he's been looking for for a long time - an old spoon that's from B- (my last name, also a city in Germany) and has the B- lion on top; and also a 7th century coin from Gujarat - the place I went to in India! That was super-special.
So our exchange student from Germany sent us a package, and we're picking it up today! We sent her a package too, with lots of stuff. Coffee. Very important. ;)
Ah, I'm rambling again. What am I going to do today? I want to just veg and watch a movie. i'm thinking a high-tech spy/theif movie, but I just saw National Treasure this week, and I don't really want Oceans 11 or 12 because I'm just not in the mood....Sneakers is just a tad old...high tech isn't really high tech anymore....
indecisiveness flows/like all my scattered thoughts
I guess that's really it. Not a lot has happened since I last posted actually. I had my mom's family's X-Mas party, which was actually a lot better than I thought it would be, all things considered. We all do this drawing for the kids (I'm still a kid actually, so I shouldn't say 'we') and get each other presents, and we got my cousin who's just getting into sewing, so we got her a started sewing kit thing. And guess what I got? PotCII piano music!!!whichididn'tevenknowwasoutyet!!!!!!!!!!!!
ahem. yeah. it's super good too. i'm in love with the Davy Jones theme. totally.
Hmm....what else? My aunt and uncle from Oregon were spending the night before the party at our house, which is neat, because they're the only other Christians in the family (excepting an uncle who became a Christian a few years ago). It's the same aunt I went to India with, and we all get along really well. I'm making an Indian outfit and my aunt helped my put the zipper in, so it's almost done now and I can actually wear it! (You're right Lego, zippers are a real pain!)
Then we all played cards for a while and watched PotC II which they hadn't seen yet, and my dad made popcorn, and it was all really cool!
Party was good. I brought piano music that I didn't play, but I also brought my guitar, becuase I knew my second cousin had his (he taught himself and has played for like 13 years and he's sooooo good) and my uncle who because a Christian has one too, and he's also very very good. It's really cool too because he totally uses his talents for God: playing on his church's worship team, and he's also composed several of his own songs inspired from the Bible, some instrumental and some with words. He's got access to a recording studio, and he told me that when he gets the time he's going to record some of his songs, and he'll give me a copy. He's got one called "Selah" that is so incredibly peaceful I was just so rested and in awe listening to it. We played a few songs together, and he played and mom and I sang some stuff together too...Third Day and a couple other worship songs too. Do you hate Third Day too Sam? Soooo sad....
I guess that really is it. I've just been sewing and getting ready for Christmas, then doing Christmas (always interesting), and now bummin' around trying not to cough or sneeze and FINALLY blogging!

Hello world...I want my jar of dirt
which doesn't make sense if you haven't seen potc2 yet
I have it, I officially have it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
well, actually I own one DVD and mom owns the other, since we split the cost, but I made it pretty clear that I own disc 1. I still haven't been able to watch any of disc 2 yet.
ok, so I could have tonight, but I watched the Matrix instead, for the first time, at my dad's suggestion. and it was good. i liked it a lot. kinda gross, but that can be cool at times...
isn't it strange how you can totally tell how a person is feeling by how they're typing? Like, a little of what they say, and then how they use punctuation and smileys and email talk and stuff. like right now I'm kinda blah. and indecisive, but mostly content. blah explains why nothing I'm currently typing is interesting, indecisive is why there's almost no capitalization, and mostly-content is why my punctuation is all in the right places. if I were super excited (like on Tuesday when potc came out) the it would be a lot of capitals and exclamation points, and probably a lot a phrases but few complete sentances. and I would be in a hurry so there would be a lot of typos. if I were depressed then it would all be uniform, and not extremely interesting and I'd probably use more peotry and song lyrics. blah is totally the layout - no capitals, all one long paragraph like I'm doing now...
I could probably stop now, huh? (if you happen to be Canadian, that translates to "I could probably stop now, eh?")
My dad got a new cell phone. it's called...something like triangle or three or tri-something. it's basically a phone and palm with some computer qualities (Word, Excell, e-mail/internet, tiny little keyboard, etc.) and it's really cool but for some reason I couldn't talk him into giving me his old phone...hmmm, can't imagine why ;)
so now he's downloading a whole bunch of awesome ringers, like:
"Me I'm dishonest. And a dishonest man you can always trust to be dishonest - honestly. It's the honest ones you want to watch out for, because you can never predict when they're going to do something incredibly...stupid."
"Where's Elizabeth?" "She's safe, just like I promised. She's all set to marry Norrington just like she promised, and you get to die for it just like you promised, so we're all men of our word really...except for Elizabeth who is, in fact, a woman."
"Stop blowing holes in my ship!"
And lots of other ones that I can't remember. he's got the MI theme song...and some other things. HeatMiser song. he loves that.
yeah. my dad's weird. like me.
once he had me totally convinced that it was Saturday when it was really Friday and he was staying home for some reason. or maybe it was really Saturday and he made me think it was Friday...no, it was really Friday. i think.
my dad's awesome. you can debate this all you want, but he's the best dad in the world. and I know we all think that about our dads, and wouldn't get anywhere arguing, so let's just not even start ok?
we just finished watching part 2 of Horatio Hornblower, something something something about a fire ship I think...any takers? It was pretty good.
or course part 1 last night was pretty good too. English-French (and now Spanish) wars after Napoleonic reign thingy. All about the navy. it's cool. i've always liked that era (since Anna got me started on the Count of Monte Cristo, which seemed like forever ago since I'm taking my sweet time finishing it, so it might as well be always), and i for the most part like watching movies about it, this was not an exception. Master and Commander is an exception.
enough of that...what's everyone doing for Christmas? We're here early morning, then going to Seattle for my mom's family's brunch, then spending the day with my mom's parents. how about you guys?
what else was I going to say...can't remember. maybe it wasn't anything. it's funny, but when you don't post for long enough, you forget "all those things" you were going to talk about.

oh BTW, Comet got 2nd place in her class at our cat show last weekend, and I got third in Fitting and Showing, and I got first in Cage Decorations (!) and also third in Knowledge, which is a written test thingy. Then I met Anna!!!!!!!!

I've discovered I like British spelling
It's true. I've spelled things the British way for a long time. I used to spell color with a "u," I just spelled yogurt with and "h" the other day, I spelled "cozy" "cosy," and I don't know what else. It just looks right to me. It's really weird.
Anyway I took that dumb test thingy again to try and figure out what I am. Which was kind of stupid. Like I though anyone could actually describe me! So the first time I came up as INFJ, and then I was thinking about it, and thought that really there's not so much "F" in it, because some of the time I base decisions on feelings, but some of the time I don't, so I went back and retook it and took out some of the "F" stuff, and then I came up INTJ like I did way back when, and then I was being indecisive, so I read the profile thingamies for both of them, and (sorry about the run-on sentance, but we all need them once in a while don't you think?) decided that I am officially and INt/fJ. Which is weird because one's a rationalist and one's an Idealist. I think I've become a bit more of a Rationalist over time just be living with mom, because she's definitely a Rationalist, and I kind of have to be to survive, but I think inside I'm more of an Idealist. Maybe. Can I be both?
Anyway, enough of that. ONLY 5 MORE DAYS UNTIL POTC II COMES OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Still a little bit excited. My aunt and possibly my cousin are coming over to watch it.
*gets up to get ready for bed and put cats away and try to warm up freezing fingers and toes*
I'm back. The first two were successful, latter not so successful. Maybe this blanket *dons blanket* will help a little. I've been trying to warm up ever since finishing giving Comet a bath for her show on Saturday, which I'm freaking out about, which is kind of weird because I'm normally nervous, but just a bit and not til the day of. Anyway, I attribute it to me being a Senior now, and I'm nervous about them asking me a question I don't know from the new book. Or asking me a question I've forgotten from the old book because I've been studying to much from the new one since I'm a Senior now. Well, I guess all I can do is study. And pray!
There is a point to this post. Em was saying on her list of thankfulnessthings (well actually in the comments) that she was trying to think of a way that we could help people in third world contries. If you guys like this idea, it would be like an answer to prayer for me:
After I got back from my mission trip to India, of course anything about India caught my eye (well it still does but that's beside the point), and one day I saw this stand somewhere for Gospel for Asia. You may or may not have heard of it, but it's this organization that was started by an Indian man named K.P. Yohannan, who has a heart for the people of Asia. God told him to start this organization, and use it to help get American's focus back where it should be: namely, on the Great Commission, and spreading God's Word to every nation.
The basic idea is that most of the contries that have the most need of missionaries are either closed to foreign missionaries, or view Christianity as a Western Religion. They don't trust the Westerners who bring it, and are about as enthusiastic about being converted as we would be to a Hindu monk who tried to convert us. We would automatically view Hinduism as an "Aisan Religion." The truth is, white missionaries introduced Christianity in countries where it had never even been heard of, but now the focus of western missions has changed. I don't want you to get the wrong idea - western missionaries are still vital in many places, but can't try to control places that are closed to them. Also, I don't think that social work is a bad thing, but one of GFA's biggest fears is becoming a social missions organization. Em, you mentioned helping a third world country in some material way. That's not bad at all - they really need it! But I think GFA can offer something even better.
While there's nothing wrong with doing good social work deeds, it is wrong to call it mission work. What most white missionaries are doing nowadays is building hospitals and such things in Christ's name, and not seeing any results in regards to converts and lives given to Christ. What GFA wants to do is get the focus back onto fulfilling the Great Commission, and only that. This is an exerp from a book I just finished by K.P., called Revolution in World Missions:
"Feeding programs can save a man dying from hunger. Medical aid can prolong life and fight disease. Housing projects can make this temporary life more comfortable - but only the Gospel of Jesus Christ can save a soul from a life of sin and an eternity in hell! To look into the sad eyes of a hungry child or see the wasted life of a drug addict is only to see the evidence of Satan's hold on this world. He is the ultimate enemy of mankind, and he will do everything within his considerable power to kill and destroy people. But to try to fight this terrible enemy with physical weapons is like fighting tanks with stones."
Gospel for Asia's solution? Send out the natives! Their entire organization is devoted to training natives to go into unreached parts of their own country and live out the Great Commission. This is the best way to do it economically, native missionaries living on $1080 - $1800 per year, while western missionaries cost up to $100,000! It is good stewardship of God's money to do it this way, and also, native missionaries do not have to overcome cultural obstacles, and are already accepted in their community.
The whole point of a Christian's life is to fulfil the Great Commission. Other than that, why do we live? To die. There is no other reason. So how can we help if it is not the best option to physically go, or if we aren't called to physically be a missionary?
GFA is raising an army of native missionayies all over Asia, but it still costs the $1080 - $1800 a year to support them. GFA is calling on Americans to use our many blessing that God has given us to support the native missionaries in fulfilling God's call to them. People can help support a native missionary for $30 per month, and for almost a year now I've felt led to do this. But as of right now I haven't got a steady income large enough to support one, so I've been waiting to see when I will be able to. I think that this might be the answer. If any of you think that God is laying it on your heart to help support a native missionary, why don't we make it a group thing, and together support one? If even two others besides me were willing, we could do it, and we would all split the cost, from $10 - $6 dollars a month depending on how many people helped.
If you want more information, go to www.gfa.org, or I'd be happy to let you borrow my copy of Revolution in World Missions which really challenged me to re-evaluate how Americans view missions, and how we can change that view and help in a practical, real-life way. They also have a free quarterly magazine, SEND! that you can get for free, with all the news about native missions and missionaries. I can give you more information too, if it's something you're interested in. I highly recommend reading the book if you're at all interested.
This is something that's been on my heart for a while now, and I think this is truly a way that we can help, in a practical way, but one that will make a huge difference. One of my favorite illustrations in the book is this: picture one day standing in Heaven before God's throne, standing next to your native missionary, and thousands of people who are in Heaven today because you supported that missionary.
Native missionaries go through a three-year Bible training school in their own country and learn how to evangelize and be pastors, and often plant 3-5 churches every year! for only a fraction of the elaborate costs we spend on our church buildings, and these churches grow and soon support themselves.
If you're interested and/or want more information, please let me know and we'll get this started!

Question
Will someone please teach me how to make a template? I know it's really hard...but I want to learn. Please?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
.....................Can't think of an interesting title right now.........................
Well, just got back from the Dive Shop with my grandpa to pick up some of their dive gear. And I happened to notice that there was a Pro Golf Discount right accross the street (which is, as the name implies, a discount professional golf store). And so we went.
AND I WAS IN HEEEEAAAAAVVVVEEEENNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It was lots of fun. My dad goes a lot and talks about it all the time, but I'd never been to one. Anyway it was really cool.
Comet and I have a cat show next weekend before Lego's concert. Which should be interesting. Which I should be studying for now...but I don't have my book anyway so I really couldn't even if I wanted to. But I'm a senior this year (first year as a senior) so I have to know a whole new book.
At least I've read it:)
And I have a question list...it's just...I'm so used to knowing the Unit Two information from cramming *coughs* errr, I mean, studying that not knowing half of this book is kind of freaking me out. But the seniors are kind of embarassing most of the time. Like, they never study. Hardly. Even though there's more of them this year, me studying at all gives me an edge over a lot of the seniors who just don't. Study, I mean.
Have you ever noticed how stupid English is? Seriously, I mean, it's the dumbest langueage ever invented. No rule is without it's personal 50 exceptions that really are exceptions for no reason. It's illogical and insensical. Why do we have to speak English?
And the measurement system! Don't even get me started. The metric system makes so much more sense if you know how to use it.
Anyway, that was a little random, so...........................what else?
I guess that's about it. I've just been hanging out watching the clock hands move and waiting until I can say 10 more days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My mom won't be able to handle me during the last three or so days...I'll need serious diversions. Anyone open to adopting a hyper excited girl?
Namarie, melloni nin!

But why is the rum gone?
Hi all,
I just finished watchin PotC special features stuff. Oh and speaking of which...
ONLY 11 MORE DAYS TIL POTC II COMES OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok, sorry. Still a little excited.
So, what did everyone do for Thanksgiving? We ate food. Starting at 1:00 and continuing until 8 or 9. Pretty much without breaks.
I'm at my grandparents' house...spent the night. And tonight we're going to see the Nutcracker at PNB!!! Which my friend is in. It's the opening performance. I talked to her on the phone this morning though, and she says she's not nervous. More excited. She's got a dress rehearsal, the a 4-hour break and then her performance.
Oh and the best part - I get to meet with her afterward for a few minutes! Which is cool because we hardly ever see each other.
I miss peoples!!! It seems like everyone's gone. Maybe it's just since I've been gone...so I really shouldn't be complaining, huh?
Got an e-mail from our German exchange student Shelly last week! She's been so busy and we hadn't heard from he in awhile. She just got to see PotC II for the first time last week, because Germany releases US movies about 6 months after they come out here. Kinda stinks really. But she liked it a lot.
So I spent most of last night watching trailers for PotC II. I can't have the movie yet so I'm taking the next best thing, lol. :) And looking up stuff for #3. But I don't want spoilers, just a little information since there's no trailer yet. I know it's released May 25th, '07. And Disney says that Keith Richards is playing Cpt. Grant Sparrow, Jack's dad. Which I think they really could leave out. But, "tribute to Keith" or whatever since he 'inspired' Johnny Depp. w/e
And this could ruin it after #3 is released:
Ok, go to Google and type in "pirates of the caribbean 4" and see what you come up with.
Well? Kinda ruins it. Keira Knightley has bowed out of future sequels, and while Will may not be necessary to the story, what's the point of making more sequels if you're killing off the main characters? I looooved #2, and I think #3 will still be really good, but come on, it's not Star Wars! I think any more than 3 will be lame. Just my opinion, but I don't think they'd do very well. But then Disney says that rumors about Will and Lizzy are 'completely unfounded' which is probably true. People can't just wait for a good trailer...
I like my plot best *evil laugh* mwahahahaha!!!! Anyway, I'm not getting too interested in #3 til they have a trailer out, which should be soon hopefully...
There are some spoilers in here if you haven't seen 2 yet.
This is a good site, but there isn't very much there:

Hey this is a really neat interview with Naomie Harris (Tia Dalma):
http://www.zap2it.com/movies/news/zap-naomieharrispirates2,0,6671311.story
Anyway I'm trying to find a realease date for a trailer but no one seems to know anything about that...they'd rather gossip...
Here's something...if it's real:
MoviesOnline recently caught up with producer extraordinaire Jerry Bruckheimer at the Los Angeles Press Day for his latest film, the soon-to-be-released "Déjà Vu" starring Denzel Washington, Paula Patton, Val Kilmer, Jim Caviezel, and Adam Goldberg. He updated us on the progress of Pirates 3 ("Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End") which is currently filming as well as the possibility of a Pirates 4 given the incredible success of Pirates 1 and 2. Mr. Bruckheimer is a sensational producer and we really appreciated his time. Here’s what he had to tell us:Q: What have you seen in the poster for Pirates 3 that’s got you really excited?
JB: We have Chow Yung-Fat which is really interesting and exciting. It’s a thrill to be able to work with him. There’s always new stuff. We’ve got an ending that’s amazing. It’s really a nice ride and it’s still filming. Q: Is Keith Richards in it?
JB: He’s in it. We finished him. He’s filmed. He’s got a small little cameo.Q: Is his head okay now?
JB: Apparently. (laughter) He was great to be with. He didn’t want to leave. He was having the best time. Q: Is there going to be a Pirates 4?
JB: I hope so. I hope so if we could come up with a good story. I think we have a big jump on a story that we’re going to do. Q: When I interviewed you for the second one, you said, ‘Oh, we don’t know yet.’ With the latest one doing so well, it seems there may be a fourth one coming out?
JB: Yeah, we hope so. We hope so.source: MoviesOnline.com
Anyway we'll wait and see but for the sake of the movie I hope they don't kill of any main characters, and I'd really be happy if they kept it a three. If #3 is amazing, then 4 might be good, but we don't need to turn this into a saga. Please!
Then everyone's saying that the PotC 3 trailer was supposed to come out with Santa Clause 3, but I went and trust me it wasn't there! Which is kind of annoying.
Oh yeah, and apparently Tia Dalma was the one Davey Jones fell in love with, but she loved someone else (I kind of already guessed that), and *supposedly* she loved Jack's father. Which is all screwed up. It doesn't especially make much sense.
You're not making any sense at all.
Well, I'm not stating any of this as fact. Just what all the rumors are, and we know how trustworthy they are, haha.
Anyway that's about it...I'm not doing much...just taking a late lunch break now. Okay, really late. So talk to you all later!

Here in Canada...again
Hi guys,
I don't have much time I'm on the hotel's computer (free high-speed rocks!) at like 10:15 at night but I'm in Canada (eh) for a cat show. My ring started at 4:00. We just finished. And we were the first ones done. But Friday night shows always go late. I'll be here until Sunday afternoon and then I'll be at my aunt's until Sunday late, so I'll be posting when I can...but I don't think that'll be much. Sorry :(
Lego tell your computer it's dumb. And it's not allowed to drop e-mails.
Gotta go, namarie everyone and I'll be on again as soon as I can!

Forever forever
I'm feeling much better than I was earlier! I just got back from Jazz Alley where I went with my grandparents, and we saw Keiko Matsui. Oh my gosh it was incredible!!!
To start off with, the percussionist must have had a bazillion instruments without names. It was really really cool. He was on fire. Then there was a really good bassist, a guitarist, a drummer, and a saxaphonist/clarinetist (or something else long and metal). And then there was Keiko. I can't describe her in words. But I have I feeling I'm going to try anyway.
She was just so energetic, so into her music. She could play the same notes and still make it intense, energetic, happy, or whatever she wanted it to be. And when she smiled, you could so tell that it wasn't a stage smile - she really loved what she was doing.
Keiko Matsui is an elegant, beautiful Japanese pianist who possessed the beautiful magic of turning the whole room into a spellbound audience just waiting for her next transformation. She made everyone feel comfortable, and was a great pianist too. This is the first show I've been to with a pianist where I could watch and enjoy the music while figuring out the chords and stuff in my head. That was a lot of fun, and it made me feel really good.
Ok, so we got there, and there's a keyboard front and center, a keytar next to it, and a Yamaha grand stage left. We asked the person seating us if we could sit closer on the side of the piano, and ended up geting seats literally touching the stage, with an awesome side view of the piano!!! That was super exciting. We also ate dinner there...I had lamb shank...really good. Then dessert...
We won't go into that.
;) lol
I finished 2 Corinthians this week and now I'm in Galatians. That's a really cool book. And my HyperStatic Union CD is so uplifting. And because my grandparents aren't really into my music, I have a CD player in my room here, so that's been nice.
I'm gonna be here like all day tomorrow. Except for a lunch date. But my parents have a meeting in the afternoon so I'll be here. I'd love to hear from you guys, and I'll probably be doing plenty of e-mailing myself. And blogging for that matter.
How's Latin coming Lego? Chemistry's ok. We got to blow things up on Friday!!! Ok, not really...it was, well, vinegar and baking soda in a 2-liter bottle...but that's beside the point! It was fun. And the teacher wasn't there and the T.A. was sick so the other boy and I were in the foyer with all the adults. And he explained the mole-concept to me so I actually understood it.
I'm forgetting Chem this weekend. I don't need to worry about it right now. And I think it's just a half module this week anyway, so...I'm just saying I'm not worrying about it. :)
But You heard my cry/even though I lived a lie/knew that I would be Your servant/till the day that I died.
So, how are you Vani; how's chem?
What's up Beth? Haven't heard from you in awhile.
Em, how's the duplicitus/dragon coming?
Anna...is Latin off-limits? Just kidding I'm praying for you kiddo.
We might make black cookies tomorrow!!! Those are really good no-bake drop cookies. With great stuff in them. Hmmm...maybe I'll post the recipe.
Oh yeah, we finally got to pick out our pictures of the cats and me that we took a week ago! I'll post some of them later...I don't have them right now.
Top Gun's on right now. I'm trying not to watch much because it's in the other room and I'm afraid I'll look up at the time that I'm not supposed to be watching. I guess I should be typing instead, huh?
Well, I just realized that there's not really any more to type about. So I think I'll go do some more work on Rintore. (sorry, I don't have an e with a grave accent right now. obviously. I'll have to figure out how to do that...)
I've noticed that I do the dot-dot-dots a lot more when I'm indecisive. Or confused or whatever.
All my troubles seem so far away!!!! lalalalala!!!
lalas for you Legolas, mellon nin.
you are all meloni nin.
A lot.
Ok, I'll just go shut up now and blast HyperStatic Union and work on Rintore and read Galatians 3.
Namarie!

Not exactly Part III
I don't think there was anything left to put in Part III. I really thought there would be more, but I guess I kinda squished some stuff together. I squigethered stuff. Maybe.
I wanted everyone's opinion on something (and help if your brains are all working!). Some friends of mine and Belegwen's from co-op want to do a pirates of the caribbean movie with us. Not exactly a #3 or anything, just using the characters for a new movie. I came up with a plot and wanted peoples' opinions on it. I also need some help with a problem at the end.
If you haven't seen PotC III, you probably won't want to read this. It's not directly about the movie, but there are spoilers if you haven't seen it yet. Just skip until you see the big bold THE END sign.
Barbossa's ghost is out to get Capt. Jack Sparrow, and he has the makings of his own fleet: the Interceptor II (stolen from His Majesty's Royal Fleet) and a pact with the Flying Dutchman. He offers Davy Jones Jack Sparrow in return for 5 men from the Flying Dutchman's crew. ("Jack is, after all, worth 100 souls, as you yourself said.") He receives the 5 men, including Wyvern and Bootstrap Bill Turner. Barbossa is marked with the black spot until he delivers Jack, to insure that his promise will be made good, and he's threatened with the kraken. Barbossa also agrees to return Davy Jones' heart to him.
Jack can't run forever: he must face his fears in the shape of Barbossa's ghost. Meanwhile Will's marriage is again interrupted by Jack, who comes to demand Will's help in return for freeing his father (Bootstrap Bill). When Norrington comes to Gov. Swann and says he would like to help by dissuading Will from helping Jack, Swann accepts. Then Elizabeth discovers what her father has done and runs away to save Will from Norrington.
Jack wants to vanquish Barbossa's ghost and kill Davy Jones, and when Will helps only under the condition that Jack return's the Interceptor II, Jack agrees, keeping in his mind that he'll barter the ship back to Becket in return for Jones' heart. (Jack will then have killed Barbossa and Davy Jones, and he will be free). He would also like the Pearl back if possible.
Will wants to free his father and marry Elizabeth, along with returning the Interceptor II to the Navy. He tells Jack that he'll help him in return for his father, but only if Jack returns the Interceptor II.
Norrington wants to kill Will and Jack. He is now commander of the Dauntless and has naval authority from Becket to do so.
Barbossa wants to kill Jack. If possible, he also wants to double-cross Davy Jones and become the "Immortal Captain of the Flying Dutchman." He has his monkey.
Elizabeth wants to marry Will, but first she has to save him from Norrington. She also wants to help Will in any way possible.
Gov. Swann wants to keep Elizabeth out of harm, and to dissuade Will from helping Jack.
Becket wants to kill Will and Jack.
Becket commissions Norrington to kill Captain Jack Sparrow and capture Will Turner dead or alive, but devises his own scheme when Jack shows up at his front door with the Interceptor II looking for the heart of Davy Jones. He decides to capture Jack on his way out, but unfortunately for Becket Jack sends a decoy: Will, dressed as Jack. Will escapes with the heart of Davy Jones, but without a ship. He lies and tells Jack that he lost the heart, for he intends to trade it to Barbossa in return for his father. Barbossa won't break his pact with Jones (or kill him) until he's killed Jack, and he asks Will to help him. Will refuses, so Barbossa takes him as prisoner, but Will won't reveal where the heart is. In truth, he gave it to Elizabeth in Port Royal for safekeeping. When Jack shows up on the Black Pearl (after visiting Tia Dalma) to kill Barbossa, he brings Elizabeth along as a hostage, because he learned from Norrington that Will had lied. Jack doesn't know that Elizabeth has the heart. Norrington failed to take Jack so he was decommissioned. Will takes the heart back from Elizabeth, and tells Jack he'll give him the heart if Jack will let Elizabeth go and abide by the former terms (i.e. Interceptor II is already returned, but Jack must free Will's father). Jack agrees. Will won't surrender the heart until he has his father back, but Jack needs the heart in order to barter for the father. He explains this and Will trusts him (never trust a pirate).
Tia Dalma has given Jack Barbossa's heart, which Jack must stab in order to kill Barbossa. Nobody knows this yet except Jack and Tia Dalma. She gave him Barbossa's heart and raised the Black Pearl from the depths in return for Jack ridding the world of Davy Jones. Jack tells Barbossa that he'll give him Davy Jones' heart in return for Bootstrap, but he gives him his own (Barbossa's) heart instead. They fight, because Barbossa is supposed to bring Jack to Davy Jones. Jack lets Barbossa win (but not obviously). Barbossa brings Jack to the Flying Dutchman, intending to bring Jones' heart to him but to stab it before his eyes. He will then kill Jack, who is bound. Jack informs Will of the "change of hearts," and they form a plan. Will will sneak onto the Flying Dutchman, and will set Jack free in time for him to stab Jones' heart before Jones kills him. All goes according to plan: Barbossa stabs his own heart and dies; Will unbinds Jack and gives him Jones' heart, which he'd held onto to ensure that Jack's promise would be kept. Jack kills Jones, frees Will's father, and then starts his own fleet with the Flying Dutchman and the Black Pearl. Will and his father are re-united, and he and Elizabeth are married. Jack's new crew is comprised of Gibbs and the old crew, plus the Flying Dutchman crew.
Now the only thing left is…what to do with Norrington? That's my problem. See, I thought about giving him amnesia, but I thought that would be a little too cliché. I don't really want to do that. Plus, I thought killing him off would be a little mean. I mean, he's not quite deserving of death. At least I don't think so. The thought crossed my mind of marooning him, but either we'd need to do a sequel after that (which I don't think they want to) or that would be considered killing him. My dad said he should fall in love or Tia Dalma should cast a spell on him, or both. What do you guys think?
I wanted everyone's opinion on something (and help if your brains are all working!). Some friends of mine and Belegwen's from co-op want to do a pirates of the caribbean movie with us. Not exactly a #3 or anything, just using the characters for a new movie. I came up with a plot and wanted peoples' opinions on it. I also need some help with a problem at the end.
If you haven't seen PotC III, you probably won't want to read this. It's not directly about the movie, but there are spoilers if you haven't seen it yet. Just skip until you see the big bold THE END sign.
Plot:

THE END
Okay, whoever didn't read that can come back now. Sorry, just needed an opinion. It's funny--the things I do that don't matter too much, I get really worried about other peoples' opinions. Like if I cook something or if I have an idea, as long as I'm not totally passionate about it, I ask like 5 times "what do you think of it?" But when it comes to my beliefs or stuff like dressing conservatively or something that I've made up my mind to do no matter what people think, then I'm really confidend and independent and don't worry about their opinions. I guess it's better that way than the other way around...
;)
I miss you peoples!!!!! It sounds to me like everyone is kind of getting tired or worn out or something. It's probably the weather and getting really involved in school stuff.
Are you back yet Eowyn and Michaela? Did you have tons of fun?!?!?!?!?!?!?
So, everyone tell me at least on interesting thing they've done in the past week. I miss hearing from all of you.
Namarie, melloni nin!

P.S.
I'm entering a story contest next month. When I've finished writing my story, I'll post it and see what you guys think of it.

Part II (Doesn't that title seem way too short? Maybe it needs a song lyric or somthing...)
There I go with the dot-dot-dots again. :( I'll never outgrow it. I guess old habits die hard.
Ok, before I go on to part II, I want to talk about two days ago and what I did, and also the movie we watched a couple nights ago (grossness!). Well, I guess that all is part of Part II.
I'd like to preface this by saying that we don't watch movies everyday, because it may start to seem like that. We only get about three channels on TV, so we watch more movies than the average household, but not that many. Just lately, we've activated a Christmas gift we got from my grandparents: 3 months of free Netflix. So Mom wants to watch the movies and get them sent back soon. And we've had a lot of free nights after busy days. Just didn't want you all to think that all we do is watch movies. ;)
So two nights ago we watched Red Eye. Just came out recently, and it's this movie about an assassin dude on a plane, and he basically uses the pretty hotel manager next to him to help him kill the government guy. Only she doesn't co-operate. You can all guess how Hollywood ends it (same as every other movie of course), but it was so gross because she had to get away, and she ends up sticking a pen in his throat. :( *sickness*
Yeah.
And then he grabs a scarf to wrap around the hole in his windpipe while he's chasing her around the airport, and he can hardly breathe.
I get a little squeamish when it comes to sticking pens in peoples' throats. You can't really blame me for that now, can you?
Then yesterday we watched Poseidon, which was supposed to have my second cousin in it, only they cut out her scene (she was an extra). Go figure. They always do that to the extras...
But it was really really really good. And Klaus Badelt did the music!!!!!!!
Mr. Pirates of the Caribbean piraty music dude. At least, for the first movie. Until he and Mr. Director got in a fight and Hans Zimmer had to do the second one...not a bad replacement though:) Ha-ha.
Oh yeah, everyone go haunt Belegwen's blog because she promised me she'd post. And she wants lots of comments.
But Poseidon was pretty clean, all things considered (lot less swearing than you would think for a movie about a ship getting hit by a rogue wave and flipping over and then taking a long time to sink). And I knew a couple of the actors (Kurt Russel and Josh Lucas) from other movies, so that's always cool.
And today we went to the theater because through my orthodontist I get free movie tickets after every teeth cleaning. That's really sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We saw One Night With the King. It's a movie about Esther, and that whole story, and it was really well done. And the actors! I knew like half the cast!
To start with, uncle Mordecai is our beloved dwarf Gimli (John Rhys-Davies), and then we have the power-hungry delusional prince who wants to become king (again, every stinkin' movie!) with a long, hard-to-pronounce name, played by our favorite bad guy (after Sean Bean, of course), Denethor, lord and steward of Gondor (John Noble). And then the eunich (I really can't hear that word without thinking of Pirates, lovely singing voice though; eunich!) who takes care of Esther was the black pirate from PotC, the one who hits Elizabeth at the beginning. I don't know his name...I could look it up if I really cared that much I guess... Then king Xerxes looked familiar, but I'll have to look it up to see if I know him from anything. And the last guy was the king's general, who was played by Omar Sharif, who is the sheik dude in Hidalgo.
I was waiting for a few mor LotR members, but, you know, you can't hog 'em all! It was a really good movie though.
Two nights ago during Red Eye, my dad made popcorn. I honestly hope that someday you all have a chance to savor the heaven of my dad's popcorn, but until that day, Belegwen is my witness that it's the best in the world. Without question.
Yes, I have braces. No, I haven't had any of my dad's famous popcorn since I got them on over a year ago. Yes, I had some!!!!!!!!!!! *happy sigh*
Also had a Honeycrisp apple. Have you tried them? They're those huge ones as big as your face (well, if you have a super-small face that is) that cost like $2/lb. And I know why now....heaven.....
Oh and the other thing! I finally got pictures taken of me and my cats! I mean, professionally. And they turned out so great!!! Besides the fact that Comet was a major major pill. But she mellowed down some at the end. And Lil was great! And I also got some shots of just me. I'll post some of the cats when we get them. If anyone wants to see some, let me know and I'll e-mail them to you. It was a lot of fun.
Yesterday I got bored so I made chocolate mousse cups. You make chocolate mousse (a project in itself) and then you put it inside these cups that you make by: taking a muffin cup thingy and painting melted chocolate chips into it. Then you let it harden. Then you do another layer. Then you let it harden. Then you do another layer. Then (can you guess? I'll give you a big hint....we've been doing it ALL DAY LONG!!!!!!!!!!!) you let it harden. And finally you take the muffin wrappers off and put the mousse in.
Then you eat them all.
Well, maybe save one or two for your parents...I guess. *evil laugh* Mwahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!! *laughs evilly and hysterically*
I'm so glad the Seahawks won today!!!!!!! Because my dad was happy instead of grumpy!!!!!!!
Really, football's ok, but it's not my thing. My dad confuses me when he tries to talk about stats and explain details, and my mom and dad scream like crazy people when they watch the games and it get weird. I like it, but not nearly like I love baseball. It was a great game though. Really quickly: We were winning 27-21 over the Rams with like 2 1/2 minutes left in the game, then they scored a touchdown to make it 28-27. Then we used I think two downs to get it to the 45 yrd line (or somewhere in there, I'm sure dad would be correcting me left and right: "It was 2 min. 36 sec.! It was the third down! So and so passed it and what's his face rushed it! It wasn't 45 it was the 56th yrd. line! You get the picture. I don't pay much attention to detail. That's why I'm bad at chemistry, ha-ha). Anyway, we had to kick it from there, with literally 3 seconds left on the clock. Long story short ('cause I know you don't want my dad's version) we made it as the buzzer went off the win the game 30-28. It was very intense and exciting.
W/E
:) ;)
The only other thing I wanted to tell everyone was that I submitted and application for a volunteer position at the library, and should be hearing back next week as to wether I'm excepted or not. I really hope I am!!! This is something I've wanted to do for a while, and if I do volunteer work there for a while, then maybe I can try out for a job there in a couple years! We'll see...
Thanks everyone for listening to my ramblings once again. It so nice to be back on!

October 14, 2006
Back from the dead... Also known as: Friday, October 13th, with a new moon.
Ok, I hope it won't be like this every year when school starts. Just like Lego said, I didn't miss it that much (blogging, I mean), but now that I'm back, I'm wondering how I ever lived without it. I feel like I've missed so much, and I really miss all of you guys. I hope everything will be like it was again soon.
That's the thing about me - I don't like change. I hate having to move on and continually adapt to newness. Is everyone like that? Or do some people relish the continual movement and freshness of their lives? I like new, just not change and adaptation.
Sorry.
Ok, so this mini story of my life may take place in several parts. Part I, starting now.
"Ladies, gentlemen and other persons: Please pay very attentive attention to this serial, or at bare minimum feign, profess, simulate, or produce any other type of masked emotion to pretend you are interested. Please turn off all pagers, cell-phones, televisions, radios, palm-pilots, lights, electronic clocks, electronic musical instruments, baby monitors, model airplane remotes, or any other electronically controlled devices that may become distracting to you with the exception of your CPU and monitor components of your computer. We ask that you remain in your current postition at all times, and do not make any changes to that position. (i.e. do not close your mouth that may be hanging open, do not change your hair length or style, do not apply or remove any makeup or other cover-up devices, do not make voluntary use of muscles not used to govern natural, involuntary bodily functions). Lastly and most importantly of all, do not slurp your soda or loudly and obnoxiously crunch your popcorn, as this is disturbing to your neighbor and can cause annoyance, which, as you know, leads to irritability, which is the number one symptom of the first (Prodromal) stage of feline rabies. As a last word, we hope you survive through Part I without loss of any important items, such as brain cells, shoes, or pet wallabies. Thank you, and enjoy your trip home after the First Part. We hope you are coherent enough to wish to return for Part II at the end.
Ma chere, mademoiselle. It is with depest pride, and greatest pleasure that we welcome you tonight. And now, we invite you to relax, let us pull up a chair, as the dining room proudly presents: you dinner.
Be our guest, be our guest/Put our service to the test/Tie your napkin 'round you neck cherie/and we'll provide the rest/Soup tou jour/hot ourderves/why we only live to serve/try the gray stuff it's delicious/don't believe me, ask the dishes/they can sing/they can dance/after all miss/this is France/and a dinner here is never second best/come on unfold your menu/take a glance and then you'll/be our guest/oui our guest/be our guest...
Trying to memorize, have the first verse down, and the tag. It's coming along though.
So, I guess Part I can be vacation. Last week we went on vacation to Ashland, OR. We left Saturday morning, and I promptly discovered that I had forgotten my chemistry book "somewhere." I knew it wasn't at home, it obviously wan't in my bags, so it had to be at the co-op church, or someone took it home. We were near the church so we went and looked around and through lost and found, but it wasn't anywhere! So I called a friend who had started taking the class but had switched after the second week to see if I could borrow her book. She was home and said yes. Thank the Lord, I got my chemistry done, and my teacher had noticed that I forgot my book and had taken it home with her! So I got all my homework done.
We drove to Portland, and spent the night with my mom's aunt and uncle (the same aunt I went to India with). We went to Chinese for dinner, and I drank 8 cups of tea (it's addicting...yeah), then we played cards together until about midnight, and then went to bed. We have a few games that we always play together when we go down.
I'm so glad I type 45 wmp. I just got tested, hehe!
So the next morning we packed up and headed south. And speaking in up-down terms, north. I didn't know southern OR was so mountainous! Now I know. We got to our hotel about 5ish, and got settled in. I took a shower, then we got ready to go.
I don't know if you know, but Ashland every year hosts a great Shakespeare festival. That's why we went. They do lots of plays, basically. So Sunday night was Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.
I really don't want to talk about it much, because I know I can't do it justice. It was sooooo good! I'd much rather tell people face-to-face or over the phone, but since I can't, I'll just say that the actor who played Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde was absolutely fantabulous!!!!!! (Yes, I made that up and I have copywrite). Really though, he did such a great job! The play overall was very good, maybe even fantastic, except that they changed the story a little. Ex.: They gave Jekyll a sister and a niece and nephew, and also added a maid and added some not-so-great stuff to it. What else can you expect though? It wasn't too bad, for a live play in this day and age. The cast made up for everything.
Ok, so Sunday's over. Wait no it's not! This it too funny not to tell! I was pretty much famished at the end because we never really ate dinner, so we were gonna go to a fast food place really quick and grab something (because they were the only places open after 11:00). So we pull into Burger King parking lot, and just as we pull in - the lights go out and they close. Go figure. Just our luck. Then all the McDonald's and other places are closed at 11:00. Finally, we found a Jack in the Box that was open. Thank goodness!!!
Ok, now Sunday's over. Monday we went to Crater Lake. So blue!!! I'll try to post pics of it tomorrow. If you haven't seen it, all I can say is: go see it. It was really incredible! But cold!!! Rogue River was also fascinating. Then Monday night we went to this Family Fun Center in the same town as our hotel, where we'd noticed a cute mini-golf course place thingy. So mom bought some tokens and we played some arcade games, won a bunch of tickets, bought a hackisack and a bunch of Tootsie rolls, then played golf. Let's just say it wasn't great where I was concerned...but it was a lot of fun!!! Putting's not my greatest area in golf... Anyway, they also had a little driving range there, so dad and I split a bucket of balls and hit at the driving range for a while. And: I hit the golf cart dude who was sweeping up the golf balls! don't panick, he's protected by plexiglass, but it was kinda cool. I don't know why I yelled Fore, there was nothing he could have done and he couldn't possibly here me, plus he wasn't in any danger. Habit I guess.
Teusday we just sorta bummed around most of the day. We played games, went to Borders bookstore and read and hung out, then drove around looking for something to do. When we couldn't find anything, we went back to the hotel and watched some baseball. Playoff games stuff. I hope St. Louis Cardinals win the World Series!!! Then dad and I went to the driving range again, and mom hung out and read. We met at Sherry's right next to the hotel and had breakfast for dinner, before going to see the Merry Wives of Windsor. Agian, fantabulous! It's a comedy, and they sure played it up! It was really good. They had some fantastic actors/actresses! Both plays were extremely well done.
So, the hotel had high-speed, but it was beyond finicky, so I couldn't really post. We did the number game and got up to 309 (mostly because we used the mile marker signs until we reached WA again, cheating, pirates). The hotel also had a killer continental breakfast (why do they call them that? continental?) with awesome waffles that you make yourself. They have the batter made, and they have this awesome waffle maker thay you basically just pour the batter in, flip the iron, and wait for the timer to go off. Perfect every time. And really good syrup, and whipped cream and strawberries!
Wednesday we came home, and I got to see my kitties again!!!!!!! *goes crazy* Kitties!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love my cats.
Ok, that's vacation. My eyes are starting to close, so, adieu! Parting is such sweet sorrow and all that rot and rubbish. Stay tuned for Part II. Namarie.

Paging all personel...
Ok, the title actually for once refers to what I have to say! My mom's been bugging me to post something about this for like 3 days now, so I figures I'd better. What it is is the State Congress Page Program thingy... I'll explain a little more:So basically you go to either the House of representatives or the Senate for a week anytime from January through (I think) May, or whenever their session ends. And you page for your senator of representative, which means you run errands for them like bringing them notes and running stuff back and forth from their office or whatever. And you go to page school for 2 hours a day and learn about the government and stuff like that.Did I mention that it pays $35 per day? And they also pay you $35 for the orientation. So $35 times 6 days...you do the math.So anyway I'm going to do it this year (or at least send in an application and if I'm early enough which I probably will be see if I'll be accepted) in the senate, and it's a one-time thing, and there really is a point to this post...See I was going to do it with a friend, but then she's too busy, and my mom really wants me to do it, and I think it would be cool, but, see, I really wanted to do it with someone. So then I thought of you guys! You have to be at least 14, and no older than 16. Eowyn, I thought you might want to do something like that with me (maybe?) since you'll be old enough by the time session starts. And Ribbons, I wan't sure when your b-day was or if anyone would even be interested. I think Anna's gone somewhere right now but it'd be cool if you wanted to Anna!El I didn't think you'd be interested but of course I'm not excluding you ha-ha.Anyway I have a ton of info I'd be happy to send you if you want any. Post if you're interested and I'll email you the stuff! And please post soon (like by tomorrow or sometime) because my mom really wants to get my application thingy in before it's too late!Hope somebody might be interested to rescue me from doing this by myself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

CooCoo for Coco Puffs!!!!!!
Came to mind while I was thinking random thoughts for an interesting blog title. I know, it really doesn't make any sense...
Am I Jekyll or Hyde?
There's this feeling inside
That I just can't ignore
I can't close up the door.
'Cause I want to shut it out
And I want to turn about
But at the same time it's gone
A new feeling comes on.
Then it's back to Mr. Hyde
I am starting to slide.
Jekyll pulls him back up
But he's running out of luck.
The battle keeps going
And my feelings are growing
To a climax I have to reach
A feeling I cannot breach.
What am I capable of doing to myself?
Can I hurt others like I've hurt my soul?
It scares me to think that I can do this to anyone, anytime.
Will I choose Jekyll or Hyde?
Hyde has more fun
But he's always on the run.
Jekyll is good
But not all he could be.
Nervous and timid
Versus dangerous and livid
I cannot yet choose
Which monster should loose.
Whose true colors to show
As I take out my bow.
What type of poison to bring?
As I fit arrow to string…
Words shoot from my mouth
This isn't what life's all about!
But I can't find the place
To give both enemies their space.
Yeah, yeah, yeah,
It feels like a race that can never end till
Somebody wins, but nobody can.
I don't know what to do as this battle rages in my soul.
Will I choose Jekyll or Hyde?
Will I choose Jekyll or Hyde?
Will I choose Jekyll or Hyde?
Guess what?!?!?!?!? On Monday...oh you'll never guess! I'm going to visit my penpals who I've only met once and that was over two years ago! I'm soooo excited!!!!!!! I met them when I showed them some of my poetry at the Fair two years ago, and then we kinda hit it off, and we've been writing ever since. They don't have email, so it's really fun to actually write real letters and get real letters in the mail. So that's been really fun. We're gonna drive up and see them up North. I can't wait!
Jack is the one who writes most of the letters. He was born in St. Louis, and hitchhiked by himself all the way up here just to see the World's Fair. Then he got a job with Boing (I think) and lived out of a hotel for a little while, got homesick, moved back to Kansas (where he had moved to after St. Louis), eventually got married and came back here. He just retired from The Gear Works, and actually, he made the replacement gear that makes the restaurant on the Space N. go around! Which is really cool 'cause he got to see it being built from his hotel window before the World's Fair! He's made a lot of cool stuff. Someday I'll write a little more and post some more pics. Maybe Monday...
Ione is his wife's name. Isn't that pretty?
Oh yeah! I'm sore! I almost forgot, haha. :)
You know why I'm sore? Because I did my first 18 hole golf round yesterday morning!
So, I won't bore you with all the details, but we got invited to go out at 6:40 AM! (yes, you saw correctly) yesterday morning, and so my dad said yes (!) and we went!
And I shot a 125!!!!!!! If you don't know golf, what the pros shoot (like Tiger) is around 70. It's how many times you have to hit the ball throughout the 18 holes to get it in the hole. Then people like my dad and his friends...they shoot more like 90-100. Not quite so good as Tiger...you know! Haha. Anyway when I went the first time for 9 holes I shot an 89 (multiplied by two for 18 holes - 178), which isn't horrible for my first time. Then I had my first three lessons, and now I have a score of 125!!!! And the course is very narrow - lots of trees - so that was actually very good for me! And on the golf team I want to join next year, you have to be between 100-120. I still have two more lessons and the whole year to get better! So if I knock say 20-30 strokes off of my score (which I think I can do) then I'll be in pretty good shape!
But think about why I'm sore: 4 miles walking, including hills, plus golf uses (seriously) almost every single muscle in your body! But it was soooo much fun!!!!!!!!!!!!
I guess that's about it. I'm gonna go to bed now. *sleepy yawn*
G'night everyone! See ya tomorrow!

Almost all about baseball...(sorry) :)
SEATTLE -- Seattle relief pitcher Rafael Soriano was taken from Safeco Field on a stretcher on Tuesday night after being hit in the head by a line drive off the bat of the Angels' Vladimir Guerrero.
Guerrero's line drive came on the first pitch that Soriano threw in the top of the eighth inning and with Seattle holding a 6-3 lead.
The medical status of the 26-year-old right-hander wasn't immediately known, though the Mariners announced in the pressbox that Soriano never lost consciousness. He was taken to Harborview Medical Center for further tests, the club said.
Soriano, who entered the game that inning, fell to the turf after being struck behind his right ear and remained on the ground for several minutes before being placed on a stretcher and taken from the stadium on a cart.
Soriano entered the game with a 1-2 record and a 2.11 ERA in 52 games this season.
So you can guess how my night's going. At least we won. But it was one of those bittersweet wins. They're saying now that he never lost consciousness, there was no fracture or anything. But he does have a concussion, knew where he was, and has to stay overnight at Harborview for observation. The skin was broken, but no bones. They said that he had the radio on listening to the game in the ambulence.
On a happier note, we've now won 6 games in a row (yes!) and 7 of our last eight games. Which is the most in a row for us in the last 3 years! Tomorrow we're going for the sweep (we're going to try and beat the Angels all three games that we play them).
And we had back to back home runs to open the game and almost 3 in a row (just short of the wall) but he scored off the next playet. Ibanez had his 26th home run of the season, and Snelling had his first (and second)! Ichiro also hit a home run to tie the game.
Washburn pitched 7 innings, then they brought in Soriano, and after he got hurt they brought in Greene. Then Putz came in to close it.
Now Washburn is saying that this is the worst he's ever felt after a win. And how he doesn't even remember pitching. And how everyone right now is concerned and doesn't know much. And the guy who hit him is pretty much in shock. He says:
"I just turned around and saw him on the ground, and all I could do was pray for him and his family that he would be okay." So I guess they're kind of friends, and they're both from Mexico? I think. And he's probably going to go to the hospital tonight to see him.
So now Soriano is added to the injured list, along with Mateo after he dropped a weight on his finger and broke it in the weight room. That's not normally very helpful for pitching.
I'm really sorry about all the baseball, but I had to say something. And you guys get to suffer for it...
I wish it would rain.
Oh bugger.
So I need to go to bed. Going to dad's office tomorrow, will try to post from there.

Hey guys! A post at last!!!
So I read Romans 14 today, and it totally reminded me of Vani and Em's posts. Here it is:
Accept him whose faith is weak, without passing judgment on disputable matters. One man’s faith allows him to eat everything, but another man, whose faith is weak, eats only vegetables. The man who eats everything must not look down on him who does not, and the man who does not eat everything must not condemn the man who does, for God has accepted him. Who are you to judge someone else’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls. And he will stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand.
One man considers one day more sacred than another; another man considers every day alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind. He who regards one day as special, does so to the Lord. He who eats meat, eats to the Lord, for he gives thanks to God; and he who abstains, does so to the Lord and gives thanks to God. For none of us lives to himself alone and none of us dies to himself alone. If we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.
For this very reason, Christ died and returned to life so that he might be the Lord of both the dead and the living. You, then, why do you judge your brother? Or why do you look down on your brother? For we will all stand before God’s judgment seat. It is written:
“‘As surely as I live,’ says the Lord,
‘every knee will bow before me;
every tongue will confess to God.’”
So then, each of us will give an account of himself to God.
Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in your brother’s way. As one who is in the Lord Jesus, I am fully convinced that no food is unclean in itself. But if anyone regards something as unclean, then for him it is unclean. If your brother is distressed because of what you eat, you are no longer acting in love. Do not by your eating destroy your brother for whom Christ died. Do not allow what you consider good to be spoken of as evil. For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit, because anyone who serves Christ in this way is pleasing to God and approved by men.
Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual edification. Do not destroy the work of God for the sake of food. All food is clean, but it is wrong for a man to eat anything that causes someone else to stumble. It is better not to eat meat or drink wine or to do anything else that will cause your brother to fall.
So whatever you believe about these things keep between yourself and God. Blessed is the man who does not condemn himself by what he approves. But the man who has doubts is condemned if he eats, because his eating is not from faith; and everything that does not come from faith is sin.
So it all goes back to what we were saying on Vani's blog, and then recently on Em's blog about the gray areas. I esp. liked the part where Paul said that no food is unclean, but if to someone they consider it unclean, then it's unclean for them. So basically then, if you don't consider it unclean, then to you it's not, because you thank God for it. But it should be unclean to you if it causes a fellow Christian to stumble.
I think we had that covered. It was just really cool to read it today and have all that biblical backup!
So how is everyone? When does school start up again? I start on September 5th. Officially. It's going to be really loose though when we get started, kinda more or less trying to figure out what unschooling is for us… And then on the 8-10th we have State Fair. So I won't have any school Friday, and the few days before that will be getting ready for Fair. I'm kind of excited/kind of nervous. (Don't worry this is totally natural!)
Let's see…what else? Oh yeah! Mom and I went to the lake yesterday for a few hours, took our little inflatable boat out there, went swimming, had a picnic with watermelon, tuna fish sandwiched, lemonade, zucchini bread!!!! It was so much fun! Then we just sat in the sun and read for a while. Then last night we rented the movie Yours, Mine, and Ours, and watched that with Dad. It was so good!!! And I found out that the party band is Hawk Nelson! That was really cool, since they're Christian and they're one of my favorite bands. Anybody seen it?
Hmmm….what else? Oh I remember! Ok, you all have to promise not to laugh at me though. Up until today, I didn't know how to do laundry. I mean, I knew how to work the dryer so I could dry the clothes, but I didn't know how to work the washer. Now I do 'cause Mom taught me! I understand that most of my friends know how to do laundry, so I always felt a little behind there…just freaking out because I thought I'd never learn or something…jk. ;)
I think that's about it. I'm going to go change the laundry (:P) and then read The Count of Monte Cristo.
I finally posted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pictures still aren't working for me. Can anyone figure out what the problem is?
“‘As surely as I live,’ says the Lord,
‘every knee will bow before me;
every tongue will confess to God.’”

Go Mariners!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok, so we're leaving hopefully really soon to go see the Mariners beat up the Boston Red Sox.
So I just thought I'd let you all know and I'll post when I get back if mom'll let me or if not in the morning.
I just figured the best way to get comments *coughs* is to make a new post...since 'so many people' have been posting on my blog!
*coughs* *sarcasm*
Well, I just promise to TRY and not give you the play-by-play of the whole game when I get back. Baseball's just really exciting for me.
So maybe just part of the game...
Oh yeah and we went to this really awesome all-you-can-eat Indian buffet place for lunch with my grandma! It was soooo good!
And my fingers still smell like Indian food. It's making me drool.
And my dad went golfing today on the hardest golf course he's ever played and shot a 99!
In English: he did pretty well for him. And he won with the best score out of the threesome he was playing with.
Ok, I'm gonna go pester everybody and see if we can go now and catch some of BP.
Namarie!

P.S.
BP = Batting Practice.
*tries to think positively, despite the fact that they have Schilling and we have a new starter, Woods*

Parley vous Francais? Parley? I like mayonnaise! Gollum, gollum.
Okay, last night I was depressed. Reason's:
1. Mariners just traded Jamie Moyer to the Philadelphia Phillies. Need I say more? You figure it out…I'm still in shock. And they lost last night but it was so close! Not that I heard any of it…football season always trumps baseball as far as my dad is concerned. Though I'm not at all sure why…
2. My friend is really sick with a virus thingy and he's not being very fast at getting better either.
3. Tiger Woods won the PGA Championship. I wanted either Phil Mickelson or Mike Weir to win, but not Tiger because it gets so old sometimes and I'd like to see someone else win for once…okay, end of my ramble that interests none of you.
4. I HATE DIAL-UP!!!!!!!!!!
5. I felt, in general, like a failure. You know the feeling. You just get depressed and look at all the bad things and that huge list of all you have left to do, and can't look at the bright side. It'll pass.
It just stank to have it last night.
Every morning greets me with a list of all I have to do/and every evening meets me with the knowledge that I'm never through…
I'm glad I'm not depressed anymore! I've actually been rather bouncy all day.
But I am happy that Tiger won instead of Luke Donald. I didn't really like him for some reason. It's like Tombstone! "Should I hate him?" "You don't even know him." "Yes, but I'm sure I hate him already."
Okay, not that strong, but I'd rather Tiger than him.
Anyone like Tombstone?
I'm glad Em's back!!! How was your trip, Em?
I'm glad there's a game called golf. Perhaps you've heard of it? It's the (excuse me dad) 2'nd greatest game ever played (after baseball of course). But it is close. It's this battle you play with yourself, and pass it off as playing against other people.
Excuse me, I need to open the window. It's REALLY hot!
Ahhh, back.
I'm glad I have a lot of faults J.R.R. Tolkien had. It encourages me, because, I mean, look how successful he was! I have an example to see what he did about those faults.
Oh, I am so indecisive right now I think I'll simple go to bed and read. Writing was considered in my options, but I'm afraid that at my present mood anything written would have to be scrapped because of…well…unintelligibility!
Is that a word? It's not showing up as misspelled in WORD. Hmmm…if it wasn't, it is now. I just made it up!
It means you can't make out the point because it shifts so much, and you're not even sure the author knew the point.
Kind of like this blog entry.
I just finished watching Sister Act. That's such a good movie!
Ah yes and I'm learning French! I know, you all know I'm crazy now! But seriously, my mom has been teaching me what she remembers from high school, and I'd like to either do Rosetta Stone (awesome program I do Hindi with!) or kind of teach myself using a French/English dictionary and Mom's help (which could be fun…) or another beginner's French computer program I got for Christmas. It teaches basics, but of course, that's a start!
Alouette, jante alouette.
Alouette, je tu pleue me rae.
Je te pleue me rea la tets
Je te pleue me rea la tets.
Rea la tets, rea la tets,
Alouette, Alouette,
Oh-oh-oh-oh…
I'm fairly certain that's all spelled wrong (except Alouette) but I know how to say it (for the most part) and that's what's important! You know what it means?
Lark, nice lark
Lark, I'm going to pluck you.
I'm going to pluck your head
I'm going to pluck your head.
Pluck your head, pluck your head,
Lark, lark.
Oh-oh-oh-oh…
Yes, children's songs are so violent aren't they? Brings to mind Ring Around the Rosies and Rock-a-bye-Baby.
I guess they sang it in kitchens a long time ago when they were preparing birds to be cooked. And it appealed to children why?
Oh, who knows?
It's too bad El can't check for like a week! I'd have trouble with that much time. I mean, four-five days is pushing it. A week…good luck El!
Pride of the King's Navy you are!
This is becoming a journal of a choice selection of thoughts rolling through my brain. Actually, they more or less float than roll.
So, I think I'll wrap it up, because I couldn't imagine reading the whole thing without falling asleep at least—or no less than—two times. For which reason I am not going to proof it, because I would like to stay awake to post it, if I ever get the phone line back…
:)
I'm so sore! I pulled a muscle in my right arm (I'm not sure what I was doing, just stretched too far I think) so it really hurts to move it back too far you know? My teeth are all better now though. And this typing you know, it's so straining to my arm!!! Jk. But I think I might/must be growing because I've been rather sore all week for no apparent reasons. I really hope I'm growing anyway! Anything to come up with an excuse to make people believe (and myself) that I am still growing. Well, it really doesn't matter too much. I sit when I play piano, and Michelle Wee is small and she's probably the world's best female golfer today. At least, she's really good!
Ok, really, I'll stop now!
Signing off, see ya'll tomorrow!

Ok, I'll shut up now really (finally)!

Here in Canada...
Ok, so we're here! The ferry ride was ok, although the weather was overcast and windy almost the whole way. :( And I like more hands-on sailing. Handling the lines and smelling the salty sea and being near the water. Or driving...with my hands on the helm. Or standing in the bow riding the wakes...
Yeah so I love sailing! Does this count as addiction? I'm not sure, but being couped up in a ferry boat wasn't my idea of fun today. I like boating. I don't like riding.
So then we had to go through customs. And I made an oops. I am borrowing a camera from my granparents that they're letting me use for the trip, and I get really picture-happy when I have unlimited access to a camera. So I was taking a ton of pictures and getting to know the camera and stuff. It was fun! Then we landed in Canada and right before we reached customs, I'm like, "Do you think they frown on taking pictures here?" Apparently no one heard me because no one answered. So I snapped a picture for the scrapbook.Right as we pulled up to customs. And they're like, "You can't take pictures here!"But you know Canadians. They're so nice about everything...Americans would have taken your camera! They just said, "Don't do that," and I blushed and said I was sorry I didn't know and we drove off. Really easy though. American customs are always so mean! I'm not really looking forward to that part of going home.
So then we couldn't check into the B&B where we're staying until 2:30, and it was like 11:00, so we decided to get an early lunch at a little bakery/pastry shop my grandparents had been to. I got a beef pie. It was pretty good...esp. the beef part! And then we got dessert there too. Chocolate eclair!!! Oh I should have taken a picture of that! But we are planning to go there again before we leave, since everyone liked it.
Then we walked around town for a bit; looked into the shops and whatnot. And my grandpa found out that he'd forgotten his hat, so he "had to buy one." And my grandma found out that he continually forgets his hats on purpose just so he can buy a new one wherever they're going.
That was interesting.
:)
Then we went to the beach and collected stuff and walked around some more until it was time to check in. After check-in, we were just settling in and I took a shower (since it was way too early this morning and I wanted an extra 20 minutes of sleep!) and then spent 10 more minutes trying to do my hair a new way (finally it worked!) in a half-bun. Which is just like a whole bun only you just use the top half of your hair. After I had tried (and failed) to do a pony bun because that is a two-person job I found out.
I know you're finding this all very interesting, esp. you El w/ the part about my hair...
And soon we're gonna go to a market thingy and then either get some food to cook here or find a place to eat out. Not sure yet. But the B&B is very nice...and very spacious too. :)
Right now everyone else is watching Master and Commander. Frankly I'v decided that I'm not into it. Anyone seen it? See, my dad LOVES it, but my mom thought it was boring the first time she saw it. So my dad's trying to get me to think I'll like it and my mom's saying I won't, and I've always thought I probably wouldn't. Anyway they started it while I was showering and then I came out and gave it a try. And I've decided it's not really my thing. I guess it's not really boring, or esp. violent, it's kinda funny, but it's just a weird mix that I find...I don't know. Maybe just not my style. It is rather bloody. I don't normally mind that (like it doesn't really bug me) but maybe I'm just not in the mood. I don't know, I'm not really watching it, just listening. We'll see.
I think tonight we're gonna watch Second-hand Lions. So good! And my grandparents haven't seen it yet.
If they want to watch another movie.
Ok we're gonna leave now and go to the market. See ya'll later!

Ugggghhh!!!!!
I can't be. I'm sure it can't be.
My watch must have stopped.
Because it says 5:40 A.M.
And it was earlier.
And I was awake when it was earlier.
Say it's not true!
So anyway that has been my morning in a nutshell.
Also, my room at my grandparents is mostly underground, but there's one of those windows up towards the ceilings at ground level, and it has like, concrete around it so there's a little hollow where the window part looks out. Anyway lots of plants grow there and this morning (or last night rather) two baby racoons decided they would like to grow there too. So my grandpa heard them scratching and thought it was a rat (I slept right through it of course) then this morning he and my dad went to get it with a shovel, only first they looked at it from the inside and saw it was they. There were two! And they weren't rats, they were racoos!
Oh they looked sooo cute poking their little heads against the glass! Anyway everyone was freaking out that they were wounded, so they went to shovel them out. And one of them climbed out first, then as soon as they went out and shone the flashlight on the other one (there's no light at this ghastly hour) of course he climbed out all by himself too.

This is unearthly. Golf is one thing, but getting up at 5:00 A.M. to catch a ferry is just insane.
It's insanity!
I have to go. I'll post later when we get there!

I have to go. I'll post later when we get there!

Joy and those other things that never seem to make it in...
Ok, I'm totally obsessed with dot-dot-dots! ...
And for my Dad: You will never understand me when I think a guy is cute (or really really really cute!) because you are a guy and I am a girl. And Mom thought he was cute too. :)
About Joy:
Lego had said some stuff about joy and the difference between joy and happiness. Well, I just finished reading Philippians last week (and learning how to spell it finally!) which is like the last word on joy in the Bible! And I have the Extreme Teen Bible NKJV which has a little write-up before each book w/ what the book is about, etc. and the very night I read Lego's post I read this right afterwards all about joy and happiness! What a God thing isn't it? So, my Bible says it much better than me:
"If there is any word that describes this book, it's 'joy.' That's a pretty amazing fact since Paul wrote it from jail. But even though he was in jail, he shared his joy about everything from his life in Christ to his friends in Philippi.
There are several keys to being joyful. Paul seemed to understand each one of them. Paul could focus on his blessings even when he had chains on his hands and feet. Somehow he knew that life is more than the difficult moments.
...There's a big difference between joy and happiness. Happiness is what you feel when circumstances in your life go right. If you make good grades and get what you want for your birthday--those kinds of things make you happy. Because happiness is related to circumstances, it comes and goes with the good times in life.
Joy, on the other hand, is more than an emotion. It is a perspective, a way of looking at life. We have joy when we feel secure inside that, no matter how our circumstances might change, God is still in control. That's why Paul could write a letter about gratitude and joy in a yucky place like prison. He might not have been happy, but in the end he knew that God was in control of his life."
I also found my favorite verse in the Bible. Before I didn't really have one, then, as soon as I read it, I knew it was to be my favorite. "To live is Christ, to die is gain."
Then I thought: 'If I'm put here on earth to share God's love and eternal joy with the world, why shouldn't I be joyful? And if I die, I'm going to Heaven to share in God's joy forever! I have God's joy, something that no one can take away from me!'
And get this. I go to a Bible Study twice a month for girls, and the very day after I had gotten my Bible reading back on track (long story but I had been trying and failing to read every day, no desire before, now there is thank God!) I started in Philippians 1, then I went to Bible study and we read Philippians 2! What a God thing!!! So ever since I have actually wanted to read the Bible, and am trying to pursue God's joy and be joyful (if not always happy) every day of my life!
And I agree. Happiness today is like saying "I love you." It's too artificial. I think that's mainly because everyone tries to pretend that everything's ok, and be 'happy' all the time, but they're really seeking after God's joy, something that will last, that can't be taken away from them. And that's why we're here. To give it to them!
And I was thinking, if Paul was joyful (not happy, but joyful) in prison, do you thing Jesus was joyful on the cross? Like when he found it possible to forgive us, even after what we did?
And I could write a lot more about faith since I just finished Colossians yesterday and it's kind of a beginners book to faith. Which is extremely helpful to lost people like me :) That's what my testimony is about. Living your faith, not just talking about it. It's based on the verse James 2:19 - "You believe that there is one God. Good. Even the demons belive that - and tremble!"
Then it goes on to say that Faith without works is dead, and by works faith is made perfect. "For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also."
So we can't make it to Heaven on faith alone, or on works alone. They have to be together! But it's kind of scary, isn't it? To think about it that even demons believe in God. So if we only believe, we really aren't any better than demons! I got most of my inspiration for this from Peter Furler's (Newsboy's lead singer) testimony that he gave at Creation. It was so moving! He totally put into words the testimony that (for once) I couldn't write down what was inside of me. So, sorry, but I'm stealing it! It's a work in progress anyway. :)
Well, guess that's about it. Had a 4-H meeting tonight and made some changes about like leadership and meeting times, etc., but nothing important. So, after that meaty post (all stolen from other people, sorry, Pirate!) I'll bid you all goodnight!
Lay down my pride/my desires/my demise/I'm ready now to see it your way/'Cause I'm done, I'm through/knowin' you/now it's true/I'm kneeling at the cross of your grace.
Blessed be you name/on the road marked with suffering/though there's pain in the offering/blessed be you name
I've had both songs stuck in my head for the last day and a half! Oh, and I'm learning guitar(knew there was something else!)! I'm taking Beginner Guitar at co-op next trimester. So I thought I'd start early (I already knew a little) and I can play Blessed be the Name! I'm very happy because it's also in my range and it's only four chords so I can play and sing it at the same time!
Ok, that's really it now!
'Night!

I whistle a happy tune/so no one will suspect/I'm afraid
YES!!!!! I'm VERY EXTREMELY hyper and random right now! If I calm down I'll type in that part about joy. But first I thought I'd share something funny that happened at Creation.
Ok, so we saw Hawk Nelson on Thursday the 27th at Creation. (!!!!!!!) I was very excited because I LOVE Hawk Nelson. Long story short, they rocked, were awesome, and then we got to go into this tent and get their autographs! Anyway, you wait in this loooooong line for a while that goes around the back of the tent, and when we got up towards the front and came around the corner...
Ok, I forgot to mention that the lead singer (Jason) was wearing a suit. Yes, a full suit with the coat on a 100+ degree day. So he explained that the bass player had offered him $5 American money (they're from Canada so it's worth more) to wear the suit for the whole show. He took off the jacket during the middle and was like "I don't feel like dying today." He really looked like he was gonna faint or get heatstroke or something.
...So, we come around the corner of the tent and go into the entrance where they have these tables lined up where they are signing, and I saw him as we were coming in, still looking overheated. So I remark, "He still looks really hot."
And my dad's like WHAT?!? 'cause we don't really use that word to describe boys. I, of course being my blond self didn't get what I had said, so I said "He looks really hot!" Then I got it and started blushing and I felt so stupid! Thank goodness he didn't hear it!
Then this morning we went to church. You know when you're playing true or false and you get asked what's the most embarassing thing that's ever happened to you? Ok, I'm not very daring, so nothing extremely embarassing has ever happened to me. The occasional thing like my parents showing my baby bath pics to friends (esp. male family friends - I hate that!), but nothing serious.
So I have lots of odd jobs during the week/month, and every week my tithe turns out to not be a nice round number, but something with lots of change. Always. And it's not normally a problem.
So I put it in the outside pocket (non-zipping) of my Bible cover so I'm not hauling around a bunch of change in my hand or anything. Seems to make sense, right? Except...my pocket isn't a zip-up thing. So today I'm flipping to the page while my pastor is reading through Luke up on stage, and all of a sudden my Bible cover tilts downward and ALL the change falls out. And our chairs are those hook-together kind with the metal in between, and of course most of the change falls on the metal and on each other and makes this huge sound in our very small church.
And I turn, as my mother so eloquently put it, "vermillion red."
Yes, I can laugh about it now (though not without blushing a little :P ), but at the time it was certainly the most embarassing moment of my life! So the pastor looks up, and (he's really funny, he makes jokes, and he's young too, so don't think like 'old grumpy pastor' thing 'fun, joking pastor') he's like, "That was money!"
*deeper blush*
And then he's like, "That was only change...was that for the offering?" And of course my parents and everyone else is cracking up. And my mom decides to help things along by saying -between laughs- "yes it was for the offering!"
Since I couldn't blush any deeper, I thanked God that I was wearing my Indian outfit with a scarf that you wear over your head while you're in church, which I found can be very convenient for hiding behind.
Long story short (or it was actually long wasn't it?) I will no longer not have an embarassing story to share in truth or dare! It wouldn't have been so bad if I wasn't so good at blushing at even the tiniest embarassing things! But oh well, let me know how to thank God for that!
What on earth am I missing/what is it that I don't see?
All of Heaven is falling all around me/And I am drowning in the mystery of your love/All the universe can't contain your beauty/You come alive in me, you come alive...
Saw the King and I at a theater near us last night! It was soooo awesome! Esp. considering the really really really cute guy that played Tuptim's lover Lun Tha. *gets dreamy look and can't help that helpless giggle girls get over cute guys* :) * * (that's supposed to be a starry-eyed smily, but I can't get a smily so it's more of a line, sorry.)
Anyway, I also had a GREAT view of the pianist! And his tremolas....they were absolutely inspiring! I need to put some of that into my music...
So the guy who played the King, he's played it in two other productions at different theatres before, and it showed. He was so good! And the voices! The singing was incredible!
All-in-all, it was great. I really enjoyed it. Plus we went with my grandparents, and beforehand we got to go to dinner at this Indian restaurant, and I got my chicken tikka that I've been craving for two weeks now, and chai that was to DIE FOR!!! And really good papadum (just skim over this part and finish it knowing that it was all really good!) and naan! And the allu samosa! Not to mention the ghosh (lamb) biryani my dad got and the chicken biryani my mom got... *in heaven*
And we topped it all off with gulab jamun, which is a hot dessert that is like a dumpling sort of thing in a really sweet syrup...flavored with spices. I'm not sure how they make it, but it's really good!
And if you were actually interested in the other foods I'd be happy to describe them to all y'all. :)
Soooo, I'm really tired of hitting the backspace button every three words, and I think I'll save that joy bit until tomorrow. Just remeber, Be Joyful!!!!!!!!
*finishes up with a random song lyric that she can't decide on just yet*
So, another long post. I hope you all make it!

Thank goodness it worked!!! I guess I just had to republish it or something...(go around clicking buttons 'til something worked:)
Post if you can read my blog!
Post if you can read my blog!
Blog acting really weird :(
Hi everybody (or nobody...not sure).
I don't know if you'll be able to read this or not. Lately I haven't been able to get onto my blog homepage! I can post, and I can like mess with stuff, and get onto everyone else's blogs, but I cannot get to iloveluthien.blogspot.com for some reason. I've tried it on four different computers and it wouldn't work on any of them! I'm not sure what I'm going to do....but I am sure I can figure it out tomorrow or Sunday. Meanwhile, I'll post posts that no one can see, and comment on everyone else's blogs!

WARNING: IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN POTC II DON'T READ THIS!!! LOTS OF SPOILERS!!! (sorry, but I had to put in some of the goofs, etc.)
Had to put some of my own comments in...
I found this on imdb.com:
Revealing mistakes: When Jack Sparrow falls into the grave, the print of a modern shoe can be seen clearly in the dirt at the top of the grave.
Anachronisms: When Jack Sparrow, Elizabeth and Norrington are arguing on the pier in Tortuga, the hull of a ship can be clearly seen behind them bearing a Plimsoll line, which wasn't used until the late 19th century.
Continuity: When Gibbs is describing Davy Jones to Will Turner on the trip up the river, his forehead is clear in the first shot, then a tangle of hair has fallen down, then in the next shot has again been swept back.
Audio/visual unsynchronized: At the beginning of the film when caskets are being thrown into the water, the first casket makes no noise of any kind when it hits the water.
Continuity: When watching Will, Jack, and Norrington sword fight on the beach, Elizabeth's nose and cheeks are slightly sunburned. When back on the ship, they're only tanned, and no longer burned.
Lighting? It will make a sunburn look like a tan sometimes...
Continuity: When Norrington is running from Jones' crew and falls, the letters of marque fall to the ground, as seen lying next to the head of the crew member he throws the chest at. In the next shot, they are gone and Norrington somehow gets them back.
Revealing mistakes: After Elizabeth handcuffed Jack she climbs into the lifeboat, you see a blue lining from the pool under water.
Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): After Elizabeth has handcuffed Jack to the mast on the ship, he tries to free his hand from it. You see that as he tries to pull his hand through, his rings look like they are about to fall off but when it goes to a shot of his face and his hand after he has just pulled it out his rings are back on his hand in the right places.
Continuity: Before the three-way sword fight on the beach, Norrington points his sword at Will Turner, who points it at Jack Sparrow, who points it at Norrington. In the next shot, Norrington is suddenly pointing the sword at Jack Sparrow, and Will Turner is pointing the sword at Norrington.
Continuity: When Will is flogged his shirt is ripped wide open down the back. Afterwards from the conversation with his father to the very end, the shirt which had been ripped apart is miraculously whole again.
Revealing mistakes: Elizabeth's ponytail is missing while the crew tells of the "ghost woman," in the first shot, but after the man holding the dress says "She's somewhere on this ship, naked," the camera shifts back to Elizabeth, who now has a ponytail.
Miscellaneous: The large world map being painted in Beckett's office has a compass topped with a fleur-de-lis. Since the fleur-de-lis was the official symbol of the French monarchy, it is very unlikely it would appear on a map commissioned by a leader of the (English) East India Company.
Continuity: At the scene where Captain Jack Sparrow and his crew visited Tia Dalma, the blackness of her lips changes from one angle to another.
Anachronisms: In the scene where Will is on Tortuga asking for Jack Sparrow, someone replies to will, "I think he went to Singapore." Singapore wasn't established until 1819.
This is true, I've been to Singapore and it WASN'T established until 1819. It didn't even have a name until then.
Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): Jack Sparrow presents Tia Dalma the undead monkey (also named Jack) as a gift. However, if the curse was lifted off Barbossa and his crew in the previous movie, why is the monkey still undead?
This makes me wonder...did you watch the credits?!? I mean, what a stupid question! At the end of the credits, the monkey takes off with a coin, so obviously, he would be undead, but the rest of the crew wouldn't be undead! This is why we watch the WHOLE movie.
Continuity: When Tia Dalma gives Jack the jar of dirt it's dark soil, but when Jack spills the jar on the ship, it's sand.
Revealing mistakes: In the water wheel scene, Jack get knocked out by a bar, then falls out. They get back inside the wheel and fight, there is obviously no bar, otherwise it would block their way.
I noticed that too.
Factual errors: When the Kraken is attacking the Black Pearl, Will sends for rum and gunpowder to be collected, so that the material can be shot, therefore causing an explosion. However, when using the gun in question, it would not be possible to ignite the gun powder, and therefore, no explosion. This is contrary to what happened in the film.
Yeah I wondered about that! I've never seen a bullet make something explode!
Miscellaneous: In the scene where Turner, Sparrow and Norrington are fighting inside the rolling water-wheel, at the end of the shot, Will Turner is seen standing upside-down inside the wheel without holding onto anything or falling towards the ground.
Continuity: As Jack Sparrow enters onto the boat, after escaping from the island of cannibals, he is washed with a large wave, which wipes off most of the paint on his face (eyes on his face). However, in the next scene when he is talking to Elizabeth Swan you can clearly see the eye paint on his cheeks.
Factual errors: Davy Jones is the captain of the Flying Dutchman in the movie, but the legend of Davy Jones and the Flying Dutchman are actually two unrelated myths. Davy Jones is not reported to be the captain of any ship, let alone the legendary Dutchman.
So they just put the two together, like Alien v. Predator.
Miscellaneous: When Elizabeth gets ready to shoot the explosives/rum to ignite it, the pan of the musket is open. After the musket was thrown all over the ship, there would have been no primer powder left in the pan. Consequently, the musket would never have fired without stopping and replacing the primer.
Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): When the men who are held in the bone cages and are climbing up the wall the old man with the parrot is seen in the cage that falls to the ground but then is in the cage that makes it to the top along with Will Turner.
Well we couldn't kill Mr. Cotton!
Continuity: Early in the film, the map that takes up a wall in Lord Beckett's quarters has no writing. In the final scenes of the film, several location names have appeared on the map.
Yeah, that's because they update the map every day with new information. Of course there would be new stuff on it!
Well, some stuff is frustrating, but some of it's neat!
The Black Pearl is the only ship in the film which operate under power. All others, except for the Lady Washington who portrayed the Interceptor from the first movie and the Bounty that portrayed the Edinburgh Trader, are built atop other ships such as barges with only the portions seen by the cameras completed.
The Black Pearl is the only ship in the Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest and its sequel which operate under power. All others, except for the "Interceptor" from the first movie, are built atop other ships such as barges with only the portions seen by the cameras completed.
The movie was shot back-to-back with _Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End (2007)_ .
Rolling Stone Keith Richards was set to make a cameo appearance as the father of Captain Jack Sparrow, but Richards had to pull out of the project due to his commitment with the Rolling Stones world tour. Johnny Depp had previously said that his performance as Jack Sparrow was based on Richards.
Keira Knightley had to wear hair extensions because she had cut her hair short for her role in Domino (2005).
The gigantic wheel upon which the sword fight between Sparrow, Turner and Norrington takes place weighed at 1800 pounds and stood at 18 feet tall.
For the film's release, the Walt Disney Company redesigned the Pirates of the Caribbean rides in Walt Disney World and Disneyland to feature captain Jack Sparrow, Barbossa, and an appearance by the films' supernatural character Davy Jones as part of the attraction and will be featured beginning on the film's opening day.
A bayou swamp scene with small shacks and fireflies is directly copied from the Pirate ride at Disneyland.
While the script for the second movie was being written, Keira Knightly suggested the scene between Jack and Elizabeth where Jack is handcuffed to the ship.
Yeah she just wanted to kiss Johnny Depp!
In order to get an actual surprised reaction, the small kissing scene between Jack Sparrow and Elizabeth Swann was cut out of Orlando Bloom's script.
That's just mean-spirited!
Gore Verbinski did not tell the cast what was to happen with the bone cage. He wanted to get their natural reactions when it swung from side to side.
Ditto.
In June 2006, the "Flying Dutchman" set ship was towed to Castaway Cay, Disney Cruise Line's private island, where it was displayed in promotion release of the movies.
Davy Jones and his 18-member crew of the Flying Dutchmen were entirely computer-generated, except for Bootstrap Bill. Bill Nighy wore a dark gray motion-capture suit with dozens of reference marks on his face and body while performing. ILM has refined the motion-capture system so that only two cameras were needed, compared with up to 16 in the past.
The music played during the pub brawl on Tortuga was not composed for the movie. It is a traditional piece called, appropriately, "Nine Points of Roguery".
The conch-man spoke Cantonese after his head was cut-off.
When the word "Tortuga" is set on fire on the deck, it is written in the trademark Disney font.
The shack by the river as the crew go to see Tia Dalma is identical to the shack on the far side of the river across from the boarding dock of the Magic Kingdom's "Jungle Cruise" ride in Orlando, Florida.
The pirate musical "band" that was playing in the inn at Tortuga are also from the ride. Notice the one playing the accordion.
Tia Dalma's swamp is a recreation of the opening bayou scene in the ride in Disneyland complete with fireflies.
During filming, the cast and crew had to be evacuated to Los Angeles because of Hurricane Wilma.
At $135,634,554 domestically in its opening weekend, this movie smashed the previous record of $114,844,116 that Spider-Man (2002) made. Aside from it being the all-time weekend record, this film also has the distinction of being the fastest motion picture to reach $100 million, accomplishing the feat in two days.
When Mr. Gibbs is enlisting new recruits at the tavern, a bunch of men are pulling a man out of a well, and he slowly spits out water. This is a recreation of a scene in the Pirates of the Caribbean ride at the Walt Disney theme parks.
This is the first film to feature Disney's new logo, a computer-generated model of the Magic Kingdom, replacing the blue and white silhouette.
Deleted footage of Tortuga from Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003) was added to the final cut of this movie.
The dice game that Will Turner plays with Davy Jones is called Liar's Dice, a gambling game where each player has to make consecutively higher bids based upon how many of each die they claim are on the table (two threes, four fives, etc.), until a player is called a liar, in which case all the dice are shown and it's seen if the bid is correct.
My cousin knows how to play it!
So yeah!
Have a great day everyone!!!
